it's ridiculous they decided to never finish the DLC that we paid $20 for. I will never be buying another game from Hinterland ever again.

Absolutely amazing survival mechanics, the game leaves a lot to be desired... because i can't get enough of the story. The only negative thing I can truly say is I wish there were more mechanics, and maybe a few more weapon options, I would really like to see the second game become something akin to Darkwood in the overall complexity.

Game play loop gets boring after about 10 hours. The optimization is non-existent, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 came out at a similar time than this game, has 200x the story/replay value, MASSIVE map, complex fighting mechanics, RDR2 level visuals, but is still better optimized. The entire trope around this game is that games workshop made a successful board game in the 80s and just won't let it give up the ghost. You think COD is tired? oh sweet summer child, let me tell you about the warhammer franchise. Games workshop has made doom clones, helldivers clones, mario kart clones, what's next? are we going to get a Tarchov clone? How about WH 40K crush crush clones?

My opinion on this game seems to change every 30 minutes. I loved the story and the call backs to previous characters, such as Strelok, Scar, and Sidorovich. The game runs like a soggy turd, only ~110 fps on a 9060xt 16gb and a ryzen 9 7900x, but it is extremely fun, and I will likely do another playthrough before the year is out. I have played through this game multiple times on console and to say it's a masterpiece of horror doesn't do the game proper justice 15/10 do recommend.

It's an acquired taste but is good

A true masterpiece, by the time the story was done I found myself truly attached to Artyom and the crew of the Aurora. I hope to see Artyom again in a new game, furthering his story. I could write a 10 page essay on everything i loved about this game, the sound design is immaculate, the story telling is beautiful, and the voice is so garbage it's funny, Russians speaking English is absolutely hilarious. If you've read this far, buy the game and just try it, if you are a S.T.A.L.K.E.R like me, it's worth at least the 2 hours of your time.
