Disco Elysium is the kind of experience where even discussing the mechanics or characters can count as spoilers. If you haven’t played it yet and have been meaning to stop reading reviews and just dive in. You owe it to yourself.

That being said the steam distributor is a third party that hasn't, in any shape for form, contributed to the developmental or creative efforts of this game. I would recommend to do you own digging before purchasing. That being said this game is worth finding a way to play it even if it isn't through steam.

This is a little heartbreaking to write

The game feels amazing to play, its visually stunning, and the story is captivating.

The game pitches as Dark Souls meets Diablo, and it delivers flawlessly. With a unique artstyle and mind blowing map design it plays great.

That being said I ran through all the content the game had to offer in 8 hours, it could've been less if I didn't humor the game's grindy features. There are multiple systems meant to run you through the same content to pad the run time. I see why the devs chose to do so given the lack of content. Still $40 is a huge ask for the game in it's current state, and I would recommend letting the devs cook for a little while longer.

This can easily be game of the year one day, just not today.

Download DMZ, its fun
The average experience is killing players, then they disconnect so you cant loot them. Even if you're in their inventory it will kick you out. You'll crash anyways and lose all your gear anyways because there isn't a reconnect feature in a tarkov-like so nothing lost.

Its good I guess

Unless you're playing on console, dark souls remastered seems pointless, and its practically identical to the original. Known game-breaking bugs still persist, online play saw no changes outside of more summons, PvP is still full of hackers and backstab fishers. This "remaster" serves no purpose outside of a higher price tag.

I wouldnt recommend

Lacking RPG elements from previous games (All builds feel the same)
New content such as base building is annoying, poorly executed, and doesn't add anything to the game
By far the weakest story in the entire franchise
Paid mods lol
