Imagine driving into LSC, and instead of getting greeted by the guy standing in the room, someone jump scares you with ASMR in your headphones, "Here for the magic touch?" No reverb made my car's air horn go from a tornado warning you could hear from a mile away to a sad fart. You need reverb to tie the sounds to the space they're in.


Went from hovering around 100 fps to 60 fps with the "same" settings. Thankfully the game has a fix for that in the form of upscaling...

Upscaling looks horrendous. We all know this. It's just a shame that instead of upscaling being a feature to bring the game to lower end hardware, it's a requirement to let people play at the same frame rate as before. At least the game looks better, right?


SSDO adds a fixed noise pattern on every surface, all the time. The shadows look like if you took the hard shadows setting and overlayed it with the soft shadows. It just looks like two shadows on top of each other to me. Upscaling is still pixel vomit as far as I'm concerned, taking one look at any fence reconfirms that for me. Not to mention the constant ghost that follows your car from the previous frames. Good thing you don't drive cars that much in Gran Theft Auto V...

Personal gripe: They removed the option to set your audio device to headphones, the default sounds like "Stereo Speakers" from the legacy version, which is fine and dandy and all... but it pushes stuff from the sides way too far out in the stereo field. Meanwhile, things close to the middle are dragged all the way to mono. I just want what I see to match what I hear man, and I'm not about to set up speakers at my desk just to play "Crash limo into wall until it looks like a smart car Simulator"

Not recommended for subscription reasons, they could probably fix the other stuff.

Battle-Eye made this game more unplayable than the loading screen ever did. pls fix linux
