The whole game looks like a bunch of rectangles put together with heightmaps all over the place. Yeah, I get it, it's "cube", but in reality it's just a ton of crappy brushwork. It's barely tested at all; it's unoptimized, it freezes all the time, and hands tend to disappear. Sometimes clicks don't register even though the animation plays, launchpads don't register cubes, etc. It feels more like a mod that someone made in their spare time, than a finished game made by a whole team.
Voice acting is nice, but... the plot is terrible. Play enough to listen to the protagonist talking to the AI, this would explain itself.

I haven't played the first Q.U.B.E, but this... this is bad.

The best addon downloading simulator, definitely. You can subscribe to addons, manage them, sort them and just collect them all and suffer game's crashes. You'll never find the better one, really. I recommend it.
