I preordered this game the day it was announced for early-access, and after waiting 3 years while playtesting the various versions of the early access, finding bugs, providing feedback, and getting excited for it's full release I'm proud to say this game is an absolute masterpiece. Larian never fails to impress, I'm glad they've experienced such success with this game!

If you want to support an awesome developer please give Larian's other games, Divinity - Original Sin and Divinity - Original Sin 2, a try. These games may not be as new as Baldur's Gate 3, but they're still amazing in their own right and I think any one who's a fan of Baldur's Gate 3 would probably enjoy them as well! I can't wait to see what Larian does in the future!

Vermintide 2 is one of the best games I've ever played, I've owned it for years and constantly find myself returning to play it again and again. Amazing gameplay, humor and replayability all of which are inspired by Left 4 Dead and it's sequel. Fatshark does an amazing job providing great content for a great price. If you're looking for a fun horde slasher/shooter game to play alone or with friends, then I cannot recommend Vermintide 2 enough.

I purchased this game for my partner to play cooperatively at the start of 2022, prior to Elden Rings release. On January 23rd 2022 the online services were taken down due to an exploit, with a promised fix to be released "soon". I waited for months for this fix to release, eager to play through the game with my partner but no fix released. It is nearly 100 days since the services went down and there is no fix, or announcement regarding the fix in sight.

I am an avid Fromsoft fan and I can honestly say I am beyond disappointed with them and were it possible at this stage I would demand a refund for the copies of all "Souls" games I purchased for my partner, however it's unlikely that will happen as it's been quite a while.

Dark Souls is my favorite franchise, and I cannot recommend enough to NOT BUY THESE GAMES. Fromsoft does not care about their community. Fromsoft does not care to fix their broken product. Fromsoft only cares about getting your money, and once they have it they're more than happy to leave you holding the bag of their problems while they run off into the sunset.

While the game play is solid and very enjoyable I find myself frustrated with 343's Predatory Monetization scheme and general disrespect of the community appalling, I will change my review in the future should they ever fix these grievances.

Update: After several months the game has improved it's monetization, albeit only slightly, however the lack of content for a "live service" game is appalling and frankly insulting. Furthermore I retract my statement about the game play being solid, rather it's as wide as a lake and shallow as a puddle, there variety of game modes (or rather lack thereof), the weapon handling (aside from the Battle Rifle none *feel* good to use), the hit detection is all out of wack, MMR is shared between BTB and Arena, and this is all just surface level issues that EVERY user is likely to encounter in matchmaking. Custom games are worse, and after however many months its been there's no new maps, no new gamemodes, and still no forge, meaning you're forced to play on the same 9 maps. For every minor improvement that 343 has made you need only to look behind them to find the entire community having pressured them into making the decision because frankly without the Halo following this game would have stayed in it's launch state with no improvements. In my honest opinion as a hardcore Halo fan since the mid 2000s there's countless other games out there, don't waste your time with this one.

An absolute national treasure, this game is a pleasure to play. If you're looking for really good lightsaber combat, this is the Star Wars game for you
