I gave it another try. The early grind is really hard but the worst part is the crap controls. You can't aim diagonally despite being able to aim. The aim tiles do not line up with the visual position. The jump mechanic would be cool if you were jumping where you were aiming the jump. The climb on the roof by finding crap to jump up on is beyond frustrating, why don't you just call this "bad krapour simulator". The skill mastery restriction is excessive. If the basics say you need to use melee, then everyone should be able to do melee and get better at it. It's just bad on bad on bad. I finally gave up when I got stuck trying to jump onto a roof in an awkward spot to complete the "Fourth round of picking up trash in town" quest and there was no way to get unstuck. That's right, an MMO without an unstuck command! Naruto knock off game has failed. You make me sad...

Now that you can play again, the game is alright if you can get used to the block-based 2-D movement and minecraftian graphics/crafting (some would see this as a good thing). Just avoid cooking, until they fix this it's a death spiral of time and money that used to be super useful. Don't like this "experiment to figure out what the developers were thinking at the time" style of crafting.

Ah, the map thing making crashes was fixed, the servers crashing was fixed, and I am able to craft.

Edit: Ok, reading the update notes it looks like a lot of the game is disabled atm. I guess I can't really judge until they have the "new" game up. But I can't play this as is.
