This game is bad. Even for a counter strike.
I never played csgo to have a point of comparison on what was lost in the making for this "sequel", however ,from the little experience I have with the counter strikes that came before go, I can say cs2 has less accurate gunplay than 1.6 (pretty important thing in a first person shooter) and worse feeling movement than source.

Half of your deaths every match will either happen when you were well behind cover or from getting head shot by someone full sprinting with a rifle. Meanwhile when it's your turn to shoot the crosshair is more of a suggestion and your accuarcy will jump to about 20% if you even just think of touching the movement keys.

There is also no functioning anti cheat. You can be as obvious as you want since vac sleeps and there is no more overwatch to catch you after the match.

The only thing keeping this game alive is the skin "economy" which the devs have shown not to have any reservations about screwing with for no reason on any random wednesday.

Safe to say there isn't any reason to play this game if you don't have friends you can ♥♥♥♥ around with and argue with russians turks or poles during the match.

This is a fun short game with a lot of potential playtime in mastering the movement and combat. Content wise the story mode is just long enough to fill around 2 ish hours for a new player and only really leaves you with a narrow understanding of the game's mechanics.

As for the story it is nothing groundbreaking. It relies a lot on show don't tell which works fine for the most part but I'd like a bit more exposition - maybe some lore texts somewhere in the game.

All in all you've grown bored with your movement shooter of choice then you should definitely give Boomerang X a try.
