♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game is old, UI is terrible... but economy system is.. very simplistic, but fun! There are mods that make it... worse? Since you just get more of the same, and whole economy system becomes a chore.

But an actual killer for this, and Civilization 4 game? Combat. As a kid, I didn't thought about it too much, but now, playing it... I've played for like 10-20 hours without combat mostly, and first time I got into actual war with natives... hit chances, same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid hit chances from xcom1\2, BUT WORSE, since every hit is insta-death! What a pile of garbage combat system, how did they manage to make it so bad into FORTH entry to the series... and people eat that garbage, and actually love... Holy ♥♥♥♥. You either "win" a combat, killing enemy unit, or completely lose it, by losing your unit. And maybe in civilization 4 it doesn't matter as much(altough, combat still sucks), but in colonization, where every unit matter, it can hurt you plenty. Oh, yeah, there is invisible(without mods) chance that unit will "retreat" and basically lose combat, but nobody would die... But it's very negligable, with most units. They actually fixed combat with civilization 5\6. Even tho I'm not a huge fun of these games, but they did fix the combat.

OH! And the late game, you need to defend yourself against like 200-400 units(you can abuse it, and make it much easier), so imagine fighint not natives with like 10-20 units, but units that not only are stronger then yours, but much more numerous. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I wish this game would be remaked into civ 5\6 engine, that would be an amazing game. With all the events and ♥♥♥♥ from "We are the people" mod, except 30+ useless goods, 10-15 in base game is fine.

TL;DR: It's fine, if a bit outdated. Sucks it practically doesn't have leveling experience, my favorite part of any RPG game.

Best MMO on the market currently. Which is very sad, considering it's 10+ years old.

Game is not ideal, it has it's problems, it is pay to win("pay to convenience", sure sure). Of course, you can grind your way to acquire a lot of quality of life features, but it'll take quite a long time.

But, if played at your leisure, with no rush, grinding a little bit here and there, and treat it as a game, and not a job(as most MMO want you too, so is this one a bit), it's fine, it doesn't have freaking VIP\subscription to play it, you just buy expansions, and play.

Combat sucks. Inventory management is terrible.

How is WoW, a game from 2004, did this better? Combat system from 2004 felt BETTER(and still does).

Questing is... okayish? All quests voiced, so now all the nonsense you would skip and not read, is voiced, so you can skip that too.

Monetazation is very predatory, you can't buy dlcs from steam, because that means there should've been discounts, but they avoid it by using their in-game currency that you can buy from steam. All DLCs costs way too much for what they offer, even tho base game is more then enough for anyone to "enjoy" this game.

Overall, very very meh experience, they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up one thing they should not, COMBAT. In a MMORPG where 99% of active gameplay is combat.

Also movement is horrible, but that's a plus, because it is horrible in skyrim\oblivion\morrowind, so I guess they have this going for them...

Guild wars 2, is better. Even freaking classic WoW is better than whatever this is, very janky.

On a positive side, having a "steal" mechanic is nice, having lockpicking a bit different from all bethesda games is nice I guess, somewhat similar to oblivion lockpicking, but better. Actually scratch that, it is oblivion lockpicking, just with more clues on when to press a button.

I've picked Warden, thought I'll be summoner druid or Ranger of some sort... But it's just a class of "whatever dude" who throws magic birds at the enemy. and second spell is... I'm not even sure what it does, but that's where I definetely lost all my interest.

Very generic game, not "BAD" per say, but below average, not worth anyones time, there are better options on the market, and with better monetazation, better combat, better visuals.

No dragon kill achivment, even tho we killed it, 0\10, great game.

What a piece of ♥♥♥♥ game.

First of all, you want to play with friends? ♥♥♥♥ you, go play useless tutorial. Oh, and it has bug, that sticks can be invisible. Great stuff!

Second of all, game starts after ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial, cool. Where are your friends after 30 seconds of exploration? You don't know, because realism is more important then convienence! And options are for loosers! /s

Sanity. What is sanity? How to manage it? I don't know, game doesn't tell you, but some dudes starts spawning at low sanity and attacking you, good luck.

You're low on food. In tutorial you get some food. Not at the start of actual game, go ♥♥♥♥ yourself, figure it out! REALISM!

Overall, this game hates you, and not in a good way, it's very not player-friendly. If someone would tell me it released in 2020+, I would not believe it, interface is VERY bad, gameplay is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Story, much worse then in first one. Ending... don't even get me started on that ♥♥♥♥, holy ♥♥♥♥ it's bad, wow. We ended up with secret ending and a "good" one... holy ♥♥♥♥ it's bad, no morale choice that was in first one, no nothing, ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥.

With friends, on discount? Sure. But it's not a very good game, it's basically forest 1, with a few changes... meh. But I do recommend it with friends, it is somewhat fun. BUT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ STORY IS BAD

Feels unbalanced, and not fun.At mid-late game battles feel very clunky, and it's hard to see what's happening, and which unit do good or bad. If I lose, I don't know why(because I'm winning early-mid game). And if I win, again, I don't know why. Not fun, don't want to spend time to figure out the game, played for 2 hours, and it didn't click with me. Too bad.

This game would be too expensive even for free.

Very, very, VERY janky game. The combat is... servicable, mostly because of guns, they kinda fun I guess. But not with that level design. Level design is on level of "I opened source SDK for the first time, and made a box... I'M A LEVEL DESIGNER NOW!!!", not kidding, this is the worst level designed I've seened in NOT FREE game. There are mods that have much better level design then this, it's utterly terrible. Way long roads to nowhere, way to big open spaced with nothing in there, it just... sucks. Enemies spawn out of nowhere from time to time, so world feels very dead, but now and then some enemies will spawn and search for you... It's terrible. For some people this game is nostalgia, and when I've played it for the first time like 10+ years ago, it was bad even back then, now, it's pretty much unplayable, graphic design, level design, it's one of the worst I've ever seen.
