Not too far in, just an initial review.

Character creation is a minefield, but if you can get around "everything is androgynous," characters, the rest of creation is pretty good.

I do want to see rolled ability scores and standard array to come back instead of point buy being the only thing available. I do miss my lucky 18,18,18,17,15,13....okay I hit reroll about a thousand times.

Abilities seem to be a mix of 2024 rules and 2014. True strike is definitely 2024.

Very fun, can be chaotic, but fun chaotic.

Edit: The devs support pineapple on pizza. This can not be allowed!

This fulfills all my OCD compulsions. And I love it.

BG3 does the RP shenanigans very well with a lot of the open-ness. But, the combat part is not as well polished. Mod support is amazing, I recommend the 2024 dnd ruleset.

Solasta has BG3 beat in that regard. Fly is used as a jump anywhere you can mechanic where Solasta lets you fly and you can set your height and rain fireballs down on your party for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles...sure you are trying to kill the one mob that all the melee are surrounding, but...its fireball....

If you came for single player, don't bother. Get X-Wing Alliance, search xwing alliance upgrade, download and enjoy a complete single player experience with current gen graphics.

You can wait for Vapor Citizen or you can play it now.

I've been looking for a Freelancer-esq game, and I found it in Elite Dangerous.
