You bought it from someone who scammed it. Stolen wealth is most likely to be returned to their rightous owner. What Valve will do about the money is not sure.

Hey sorry to bother you, I understand you lately came into acquisition of a Burning Stash. Though, as my clan mate has already clearly pointed out, it was another clan mate of ours hacked account. This is a long shot, but is there any chance our clan mate could have it back? What did you pay for it? Obviously you would be at a loss if you returned it, so I want to arrange getting you reimbursed if you decide to part with it, anyway peace out from a friendly and civil Lotus Recruit :)
