In short Dark Souls 2 is a hostile experience.
Never in my life have I played a game where the devs go out of their way to make it crystal clear that they hate you, I would rather suppository an entire dinner plate then play this game for another minute. This game will make you feel like a helpless slack jawed knuckle dragger the entire time you play it.
Dark Souls 2 has the worst hitboxes in any game ever, the worst game mechanics in any game ever, and the worst jank in any game ever. This game is an absolute must play because of how much it sucks, it doesn't respect you or value the time you put in it, it doesn't reward you at all throughout your entire play through and spits in your face if you want to have fun.
I believe Dark Souls 2 made me develop Stockholm syndrome because it is my favorite game ever even though every time I play it I feel like wanting to kill myself.
