Freedom. Peace. Democracy. What's not to love? As an enforcer, my greatest joy is executing those who commit treason using orbital strikes and collecting their samples.

After pouring hundreds of hours into this game, I can safely say this has been my favorite multiplayer fallout game of all time.

Some Background: In middle school, I would spend mindless amount of hours in Fallout 3 (xbox360.) Roaming the Capital wasteland with my favorite companion, Fawkes. Yet, I felt it was always missing something. I would gather with my school friends dreaming of the day that they release a co-op fallout or a multiplayer.

After 3 years, I then moved on to Fallout New Vegas enjoying the same art style and environment I loved. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy FNV as much as F3, feeling that it's lore was toned down and less dark than it's predecessor. However, I loved that it took place in the American South West which is where I am from. Getting a chance to explore your home turf in the Fallout Universe was an amazing feeling. I especially enjoyed this game's DLCs.

After graduating high school, Fallout 4 had emerged. This was unfortunately probably my least favorite game. I felt it lacked substance. There really wasn't any story and I wasn't really liking the art style change. I felt as though I was contained and confined in a fixed environment. The only saving grace being that it was better in terms of feeling like a sandbox where you control bases and the inhabitants of those bases. I liked that we could be left to our own creative freedom. Actually, I liked that we could finally sprint and seeing the MC have a voice was pretty neat. Tbh, I would say I spent more hours playing Fallout Shelter on my phone than I did with this game.

Then... it finally happened. A MULTIPLAYER Fallout game. FALLOUT 76 I.lost.my.mind! I was hitting up old friends. I was hyping up the game to my new friends. It was finally here. The game middle school me wanted all along. The game finally came. So I launched it up and...
well...it was a literal wasteland. There was nothing. No humans. Almost no robots. In it's place were holotapes scattered around the map. True remnants of pre-war America. Aside from a couple of hostile wildlife. Not surprisingly, it was boring. BUT, I was actually still hopeful. This was a step in the direction I wanted (even if it was a very small step.) Update after update I saw improvements. Eventually I moved from Console to PC. Wastelander update finally breathed new life into the game. After several seasons had passed, there was enough content for the retention of players. I never lost hope. It still miss the classic F3/FNV art style but this has grown on me.

With the release of a TV-Show, I'm finally seeing brand new players pouring into this game. Many of whom haven't even touched Fallout at all. I am glad to still be playing. I met a lot of players both friendly and hostile. But it's the randonmess that always alured me to the Fallout universe. Whether you run into a player that is a jolly ol vault dweller/settler. Or a cracked out raider/pvp-er. Both can exist in post apocalyptic America.

Complaints/Suggestions:
- DLCs have never been worth the $20-30 they charge.
- Atomic Shop packs are pricy. Personally, I like grabbing individual skins or camp resource items or emotes unless it's something I REALLY want or love like an Enclave set.
- I miss the old Seasons set up. The latest one just seems to give you less while also being less visually appealing.
- Unfortunately, PVP is near extinction. It was always broken but I feel a game like Fallout should still have PVP even if I don't personally partake in it besides hunting wanted players.
- Need more camp inventory space even as a subscriber of Fallout 1st.
- Why are bottlecaps capped at 40k?

This game is definitely worth the moolah. You'll have a blast if this is the game you need to kill a whole summer.

Singlehandedly the best story driven game of all time! Aside from the first Life is Strange heh.

Fun Indie Horror game. Likewise to other reviews, sadly it's quite short. I finished in 2.8 hours but that's because I was with a friend. Let's just say one of us kept panicking and getting the other killed lol.

I love playing this game on my leisure time. I play under the German faction and my specialty is - Recon SDKfz 222 driving/ and gunning. I thoroughly enjoy making lots of enemies come after me using their rockets, planes, or anti-armored grenades. It really helps draw out the focus of players from the objectives. The best part of it is when noobs think they can drive out/run out in the open towards me thinking they are sneaking/rushing only to end up dead. Even noobish pilots think they can nose dive shoot at me when in reality, the shells will take out their plane and all I'll need to do is repair the damages done.

But now...like all other H&G players...there is time for ranting.
From the German faction perspective, my biggest complaint has to be that german fighter planes get less bombs than the other factions. I understand the devs like to relive the WW2 experience and make Germany lose the war by nerfing weaponry and bolstering other factions but let's get real. They need to learn humiliation. Just cause one faction's players start being good at killing doesn't mean it's time for a nerf. All in all, I actually do NOT have complaints about Germany aside from the planes. I just am tired of seeing the other two factions receiving bonuses, and weaponry simply to "even out" the fighting.

All in all the game is free. The game is playable. The game is an FPS WW2 era game. The maps are huge so you won't feel contained. Vehicles exist. People running out and others camping. It's fun!
Microtransactions exist BUT so do warbonds. You can live off and ride off warbonds rather than just paying over and over and over. If you know how to save you can make more gold just from warbonds. Of course, you can always grind!

Lastly, my favorite part is the community. I've made lots of friends and remember them by name. I can join matches and talk about a player and at least 2 people would know who I'm talking about. I just love that. Anyways thanks for reading!.
