TLDR: If the game isn't running well, stop trying to run it at 4K 60fps. The game has been a fine addition to the Borderlands series, albeit with some stability issues.

Performance: I haven't had any stutter or frame rate issues with a Ryzen 7 and a 3080TI. My largest issues were with consistent crashing at around 45 minutes of playtime. I reinstalled my Gameready drivers and It has stretched it out to crashes every 2 hours or so. For some people this might be a deal breaker, but for me a ~30 second relaunch every 2 hours isn't bad. I recognize that if you spend a lot of money on your PC, you would want to be able to play at a high fidelity and high quality, but if a game is going to have even slight performance or optimization issues at launch, those are going to be exacerbated by pushing it to the limit.

Game play: Solid. To me the game play feels pretty fluid development on the Borderlands franchise. Already way better than 3. Main story seems to be sticking to a more serious tone while the side content has consistently made me laugh. The guns have felt good, some of the licensed parts combos can be pretty wacky, but some can be god-tier. The difficulty scaling system seems to work well with varying difficulty between different members of the same session. Personally I just wish there was a "Very Hard" difficulty option. I got this game wanting just more borderlands, and have been very impressed so far.
