Man I wanted to like this game but the camera is garbage and makes some sections almost unplayable or frustrating beyond belief (completely switching perspectives multiple times in a short time/fully hiding the player behind foreground objects, etc.)

After the gimmickwears off (and it is a gimmick) you'll realize that this is just BattleTech but worse. For the same price, just buy BattleTech instead!

I wanted to leave a negative review, but all of a sudden I have positive feelings towards the game... Why does my nose feel weird?

I beat it in 12 minutes, but I've also played a lot of puzzle games in the past. Not that innovative puzzle-wise, but cool in VR

NK has transformed what was a massive grind and P2W (closer to "Pay To Grind Less") into one that is much more F2P friendly with literally 4-5x less grind. Huge props to them!

This game feels amazing, but unfortunately I have to leave a negative review for a single reason: the grind. In order to be competitive, you have to have Tier 4 towers (and really Tier 5). XP costs get exponentially higher to the point where even when you buy the 3x boost, it can still take 20+ wins to get a tower to be competitive. And that's only if you're spamming the tower, so you can't even power-level 3 towers at once.

The worst part about it is that you need to play games with a sh*t tower to upgrade it, so when you want to upgrade a new tower you go on a massive losing streak (because you're playing with a sh*t tower) which gives you less XP because you're losing.

Amazing RTS game that can pose a challenge to even seasoned veterans of the genre

I might change this review once I get into the Ranked mode, but at least in Casual (which is what I play) it appears that over half of the "players" are actually bots. They have slow reaction times, very smooth turning (especially obvious when you shoot at them from behind) and extremely generic names. They seem to be in the game to make players feel good about themselves, but when you go up against a full-human (or near full-human) team, it's night and day how well you can perform.

Just get rid of the bots, or at least make it optional- we don't need hand holding.

Way too easy to hold the XCOM name. I beat it ironman commander first try (and I'm not saying I'm amazing at this game- it took me about 200 hours for XCOM 2 WotC).

The story is meh; certainly not enough to make up for the complete lack of tension in all fights because you know you'll easily roll through them all.
