Preordering is garbo, and I very, very rarely do it anymore because of the number of times I have been burnt by incompetent devs.

I love Conan Exiles, but it still to this day has so many problems (that persist from Launch, even) that I said "Nah, I'm gonna skip Dune until it's like 20$ or less"

And then a friend bought it for me to play together. So here I am.

Game is...okayish. It's functional and has some stuff to see and do. But definitely, absolutely is not worth the base asking price.

And the "upgraded" editions give you nothing but some cosmetics that aren't worth the additional 20+ they're asking for.

Such is the gaming market nowadays. Looking forward to another crash in the market so Indie devs can really stretch out their wings and not be overshadowed by every AAA slop game that gets all the advertising.

Not really. I'm most of the time only on the MH forums. If I post on others it usually is for fools who pre order games.
And yes people get triggered. I called people out for pre ordering triple A and I always get clowns from it.

I see you've upset some of the Monster Hunter fans. It may be unpopular, but I agree with your recent comments.

I've seen the same thing with Diablo 4 when I purchased that on release. "Oh, D3 was the same at its release. Just give it 6 months, a year, 2 years..."

So, if today's MH Wilds is essentially the same as Rise or World, why is it being priced at $70 for a "new" game? With all the technological advances over the past 15+ years, we can't ask or expect a few more monsters/bosses, more new monsters/bosses, better visuals, better performance? And we absolutely cannot ask that Capcom starts including some of the highest-rank or most difficult monsters in the $70 base game? I guess I'm supposed to get bored after 30 hours of an easy game, then stare at Capcom's updates every week for 2 years and hope someday there's more replayability added OR pray that "free" updates don't eventually become "pay-for" or, lord forbid, subscription benefits?

All the games without DLC are good on their own and most don't have any. For example I have 44 DLCs for Dying Light cuz I bought the complete edition, but the game is good without it.
You lost this futile argument, whats next?

You seem like a reasonable person, and it seems like you even think very much like me, due to what you wrote about AAA games.
So I believe you and I got of on the wrong foot because off a misunderstanding.

But truth be told I was not, as much as it may seem like it. And if you also oppose the mainstream, I don't understand why would you defend HL? Because as a fan of Harry Potter I can see how much of a missed opportunity the game really is. Like you said Elden Ring is the most easy Souls game, but others say it's the opposite, so it's up to debate.

There are no shortcomings of Kena's controls on PC. Control-wise, it's completely run-of-the-mill of action games for fricking sake.
