Gnomes is a blast, and more accessible than the trailer might suggest.

There are many paths to success, and creativity and risk-taking are rewarded. There's a lot of fun synergy between items yet I can still choose them on the fly without feeling like I need to consult a wiki - a balance other roguelikes often struggle with.

Each run is just long enough to see your crazy build ideas pay off without becoming tedious. It's a great pick up and play option, and while not officially supported, it plays well on the Steam Deck.

Let's Revolution is a puzzle roguelike with a big Minesweeper energy. There's a great diversity to the playable characters, and runs are short enough that you want to keep jumping back in for another go. At higher levels of play I found the game to be a touch too RNG dependent, though by that point, you're very aware of what you need to succeed early on so you never really waste much time. You're never punished for restarting and rarely feel cheated. I played entirely on the Steam Deck, and it was perfect.

There's something to appreciate about a to-the-point experience in an era of bloated video games. Give me more concise games of this quality and I'm happy. The price is similar to a movie ticket (in Australia), and I enjoyed this a lot more than my last handful of cinema visits.

Barely made it 20 minutes in without experiencing countless technical issues, sound becoming out of sync, inconsistency to controls, and having zero clue how to progress. Unintuitive and janky to control. Would have felt like a dated VR experience in 2016.

Visuals, environments, and sound design are well thought out but this kind of technical experience is inexcusable. Feels unfinished.

There's something incredibly satisfying about this gameplay loop. Attaching a new socket or buff to your already ridiculous looking weapon just doesn't get old. It's another wave shooter, which VR probably doesn't need more of - however, it's the one I'm going to keep coming back to for some time. Co-op is a blast.

Don't sign up expecting a story or varied campaign experience.

A detective game that doesn't hold your hand but also doesn't require nonsensical scouring and clicking (spamming) for clues. The pieces are presented to you and you do the rest. Excellent themes and atmosphere. Scratches that Obra Dinn itch.

Tetris Effect does for Tetris what Lumines does for whatever Lumines is. Outstanding soundtrack and visuals. A must play for Tetris fans, especially those with a VR headset.

A cool concept with inconsistent delivery. Some of it is great and other parts feel rather janky and gimmicky. I feel like it would thrive with some small tweaks and quality of life focus. Consider this close to neutral in terms of recommendation.

Stands comfortably alongside Beat Saber, Synth Riders, and the other VR rhythm game elite. Oozing with style, both in visuals and soundtrack.

A relatively short (30 minutes) game, which brings bullet hell concepts to a 3D VR space. Popular with friends of mine who've tried it, though they all agree that it's stylistically odd!
