Very addictive space sim that gets better the more you play it. I've put in 15 hours at the time of this review, and I'm still learning most of the more complex mechanics, like political power and how the factions work.

This game is structured as a simulator, first and foremost. You aren't going to have constant fun all the time, because for about 40% of the time you'll be travelling to an objective. This game has TONS of tedious gameplay, which would be a big problem if the game's high points weren't so damn good. The game is designed to be that way, as it is more of a pure simulation of a player-driven galaxy than anything. Think Eve Online, with less of a learning curve, and everything in the game rooted in real science and real physics.

The galaxy is a 1:1 recreation of the Milky Way, with roughly 400 billion fully explorable solar systems. In them you'll find unique stars, planets, space stations, black holes, etc. There is a large amount of variation in the system generation, and it's all based on real science. There is always something to do, and the game lets you do whatever the hell you want to. For example, you could carve out a career as a trader, a mercenary, a pilot for any of the major faction's militaries, a pirate, an explorer (mapping out the game's uncharted solar systems, for which you get credited for finding them), etc.

I recommend it if you are looking for that space sim you've always wanted with a massive galaxy, and a ton of stuff to do, with no limit to how you can do it. It's an excellent game, and despite the game already being a full release, Frontier is slowly improving it while working on new features and an upcoming expansion called Horizons, which features more fleshed out ship interiors, fully explorable planet surfaces, and more.

DO NOT come into this game looking for something to give you quick bursts of entertainment. It is a slow burning game, but when it's good, few space games satisfy the space enthusiast like Elite: Dangerous.

It's a game about everybody trying to catch the killer (or kill without being noticed, depending on who you are) while trying to prove their innocence to everybody else so they don't get lynched. There are some other special roles that spice up the gameplay a lot, but that is the main jyst of it.

The microtransactions are non-intrusive, and fair. The menus can feel a bit awkward at first, and there are still glitches in the shop and party screen occasionally, as well as no tutorial, meaning beginners can get confused if you don't have the wiki open in a seperate window at the same time.

At times it feels like more of a social experiment than a game, because you spend the better part of the game trying to discern everyone's intentions while hiding your own. It often makes for hilarious gameplay, because this is the kind of game where every game plays out differently, and there are often funny stories to tell to your friendos about it. It's just wicked fun when you play with friends in a skype call or something too, because you all distrust each other. Graphically there's nothing special, but it really doesn't matter because you aren't playing it for the visuals.

I give it a solid 8.5 / 10.

The game has been abandoned by OOTP, long after updates and changes to the miserable AI and stat simulation had been promised (they never came). It had a great concept from the start, with some awesome features, however the devs thought otherwise and quit funding it.

If you want a good hockey management simulator, get Eastside Hockey Manager on Steam. It's everything this game tried to be, but way better. Stay FAR away from FHM.

I should also point out my play time isn't accurate, I accumulated roughly 4 or 5 hours on it before it came out on steam.

I wanted so hard to like this game. I really did. But it has just far too many problems to ignore. I'll list some of the pros, and then some of the cons.

PROS:
-Nice variety of modes, from career, to multiplayer, to quick fight, to sparring sessions and training where you can improve your fighter
-Game looks pretty decent

Unfortunately, the good essentially ends there.

CONS:
-Animations are atrocious, especially in the training sessions
-Moving around the ring feels like you are fighting the air, it is so rigid and stuttery
-Nearly every punch looks like they are ragdoll based, so you get horribly disjointed and unnatural looking arm flinging
-camera is zoomed in way too close, giving you no sense of location in the ring
-Stamina bar has huge issues, 3 punches and you are dead tired. It takes 3 to break an oponent's block.
-AI is terrible
-The pace is so slow because of the stamina issues, the matches just become long drawn-out staring contests between 2 boxers forever in block mode
-because of the snail's pace, plus stamina problems, speed and finesse are completely non-existent
-Annoying announcer
-Extreme lack of customization
-Lack of gameplay options
-Lack of fight venues (even Rocky for the NGC had more than triple what this has, and it came out in 2002!)
-Each player has a health bar the size of Long Island, meaning KO's never happen
-No point total shown at the end of a round

All in all, I would stay well clear of this game. The PC still sadly doesn't have a good boxing game yet. and it looks like it won't for a while. If you have a Gamecube, do yourself a favor and find a copy of the Rocky game online. It is miles better than this, despite its age.

Seriously one of the greatest RPGs of all time. I have beaten the game about 6 times, mostly on my xbox. Yet I still never run out of enjoyment from the atmosphere, to the locations, to the quests, to modding the game and adding new stuff.

I also played FNV before ever touching F3, so if you are worried that it would be hard to get into, it isn't. Do yourself a favour and pick this game up (with DLCs) whenever you can. It's well worth even the full price.

Plays a lot like League Of Legends and Dota, but with a much slower style. Game is absolutely beautiful and interesting, but a current lack of features and no tutorial damper the experience.
6/10

This game is rather paltry on content at the moment, but has great potential. The devs are very friendly and are hard at work on it, though there are times when a month can pass by without any updates.
It is hard to get into, but just cruising around your galaxy with a ship you made is quite fun.
I'd give it a 7/10, wait and see.

If you are on the fence about getting it, just wait and see if becomes more than what it currently is. It is not bad, just very 'skeletal'.

EDIT: I realized the devs have not updated this game since January 2015, and even those were just small hotfixes. This game seems to be dead now, its developers abandoned it. Move along and find a different game.

Interesting fun gameplay, looks very sharp and is very easy to get the hang of. However there is only multiplayer with no progression whatsoever right now, and it has no campaigns yet, giving it a very barebones feel. I still recommend it when its on sale, but as of right now, it is not worth $15.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Right now the game is essentially a shell, but what you get is a game that future updates will improve upon to make it more enjoyable. It's extremely rough as it is, but fairly enjoyable. There are some interesting features already (like doors swinging open depending on you moving the mouse while holding the doorknobs). However, I don't reccommend buying it unless you realize how unfinished it is and are willing to give Sandswept some leeway for improving it. (I'm counting on you guys!)

P.S. I ran into a house to get away from 20 or so zombies, and there was one right inside the door. Needed clean pants. :)

UPDATE: As of May 25th, 2015, a major tell-all from several former employees of Sandswept Studios has come out on TechRaptor , explaining that the development of this game has essentially been derailed, and will likely never be finished. I won't give all the details (as you can read the article here: http://techraptor.net/content/the-dead-linger-behind-the-scenes-development-issues ), but it is a massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ behind doors, it seems. Given the already major lack of updates to this game and the high price point for a game in early Alpha, you should steer clear. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
