As of now a simple, straightforward looter. Feels like an MMO, but solo. I'm excited to see how it grows beyond the 1.0, especially with the fixes they've implemented since early access. Could be quite something!

A wonderful and relaxing experience. The art style and music are both awesome, and the game play is top notch, well done!

The Witcher 2 from a gaming standpoint is the meaning of the word progress, and how they improved from the first in the series. Everything from the graphics to the moving parts behind the game are an incredible feat, one you would expect from big named companies backed by a large budget. The looks of the game were not only unparalleled in 2011 due to its PC only nature, but also because it gives us a world that feels hand crafted. The attention to detail borders on the insane: the clothes, the houses and buildings, the faces of the characters, along with their weapons and in every corner, nook and cranny of the world there is that distinctive touch. The scenery is simply breathtaking, and if you're like me you will want to take a screenshot out of almost every frame. It also shows that you don't need an overabundance of browns and blood reds in your palette to show a gritty dark fantasy world.

This game shows its maturity not through a pretense of adult topics or with over the top action animations, but through a careful use of its core elements and by showing the player some respect: "Yes, you're an adult, and you can handle these topics!" Because indeed the Witcher is a dark world filled with conspiracies, racism and characters who live between every single shade of gray. It is a living, breathing, unforgiving world.

The story is as complex as the first , filled with twists and choices that may change the fate of many, and forking paths that make a replay of the game not only encouraged, but something you'll want to do in order to see the extent to which they occur and diverge. Normal and Hard, as easy is just that, difficulties are recommended and will test your skills if you do not face every battle with all seriousness, preparing beforehand by brewing and drinking potions and using all of your abilities during the fight. i.e. your swords, your magic signs, depending on what enemy you face and the traps and bombs for your crowd control and a little breathing room at times.

The actual combat is in no way dumbed down, even if it feels less based on timing then the first. It will still punish you if you go unprepared and you can't mash your way out of battles. It is more finely tuned than in the first game, and friendly to both the use of a gamepad or mouse and keyboard. The UI is slick, easy to figure out and great looking.

The ending of the game is abrupt, but one youve worked for. You might feel that it doesn't solve every issue in the game (the main storyline issues ARE resolved, though). It is no excuse from what many will consider a downbeat ending, in which it still sets up for the next in the series greatly though. In all honesty it doesn't take away a single ounce from what this game does right, which is almost everything else. Even if you don't like the ending you will feel that the journey was worth it. There are also quite a few endings, 8 in fact, more if you consider all the side choices that could affect it. Some are much better feeling than others, and all of which lead into the next game quite nicely.

With the Witcher 2, CD Projekt RED delivered a game that is truly above and beyond any RPG from the few last years, it plays and feels like a product of love, careful planning and an overall shout to fans of the gaming community that says "We know what you want, and we can deliver. Where others have failed you we will prevail." And man did they ever. I would play this game again 5 years from now, just to remember how great a game it truly and to see how masterpiece RPGs are done.

I was very exctied to get to play this Final Fantasy title. I had yet to play it, even on the DS, after all these years. I welcomed my time in game on Steam with open arms.

In short, it was very well worth my time. Good story, with all the Final Fantasy staples thrown in throughout, and I felt engaged for a majority of it. A job system that is vast (23 jobs), and fun to learn for each unique job. Plenty of things to do beside just level up your character. And a fight system when mixed with the job system that became quite in depth. By the end, I was very happy with my in game time saving the crystals as the fabled Warriors of Light.

If you are a collector of in game items, or achievements, this game is loaded with some time consuming ones or just plain hard ones -- Filling the bestiary with every monster in game. Finding EVERY chest in game. Leveling EVERY job to 99, on EVERY character. With a few thrown in for really rare boss monsters or weapons. Plenty of easy, fun achievements as well, and nothing if skipped, that would ruin the full game experience.

I was very pleased with the game as a whole. I didn't play anything else until I was done because it held my attention, and it was a wonderful throw back to a style in the RPG genre, that I for one, truly enjoy and love. Well, WELL worth the time if this is your type of game.

I enjoy most Square games, usually give them a shot, this one was no different. It just took me longer to get into the games story than I would have liked. Four unique characters all having unique play styles, but all of which feel bland at first. This tends to hold true for most of the game, whether its character or story telling, it starts off slow, gradually improving.

There is nothing ground breaking about the style presented, nothing new about killing for loot and moving on. The level design left something to be desired, and the mini map was not very helpful at times, and certain stats were never quite explained without delving into the help section of the game. The combat was fun, if not slow at first, as you learn to dodge and block and to use your two stances. One for single enemy combat and the other for Groups. This holds true to all four characters, even if they have vastly different abilities, they are still grouped into group or single combat. The AI partner never bothered me and seemed to do thier job fairly well as the game progressed. There are also dialogue choices that affect your current companions "trust" in you, not as in depth as Mass Effect or other bioware games, but pretty alright. You can also unlock "deeds" through this and completing certain tasks, which give permanent stat boosts, which I found rewarding.

By the end I found the story to be quite alright, envolving and engaging enough to feel rewarded after it was all said and done. I ended up liking the character customization by the end, even if, like I said, it took awhile for the ball to get rolling. All in all, a decent game, well worth any marked down price its given, and certainly not the worst hack n slash loot fest I've ever played by far.

Everything you've come to expect from anything with the "South Park" name attached! It's a fun, over the top, hilarious, gross, rediculous, dumb, great time through and through. Each step of the adventure with the boys carries you deeper into South Park for fantastic new laughs, and lots of old laughs and inside jokes from the start of the show.

The gamplay elements are simple, straight forward RPG mechanics, but that doesn't take away from the fun of beating up kids, bums, nazi fetus' and Manbearpig. In fact I found it a relief as it let me really, just have fun in game without having to focus on heavy mechanics. Enjoyed the story that much more.

There are TONS of weapons and costumes for you to find, Collectibles and friends to make. Keeping you busy while you explore the whole of South Park, and beyond, in a new and awesome way. The atmosphere and art work are spot on and I couldn't have felt more IN South Park.

All in all it was a fantasticly fun experience, with lots of laughs and fun RPG elements. Collecting most everything and beating the game should clock you in around 10-15hours. Very well worth the long, long wait we all had for this game.

Smooth, beautiful puzzle game. You learn the mechanics as you play, very intuitive, cool puzzles, soothing music. Even the tiny addition of rewind sound effects are nice when taking back a move. Quite an enjoyable puzzle game all around, tough to master some of the Angelic Puzzles, making fully conquering the game a sweet thinker.

This game, if you want to call it that, was possibly one of the most well written and heart felt stories I have had the pleasure of being a part of. It's a prime example of what great Indie artists can accomplish. From start to finish, the story had me involved, wanting more, and at many a times, emotionally invested to the point of tears. I cannot recommend this enough for the truly captivating tale of love and loss that this game brings to life. Also, don't be afraid of the tears that are bound to come, you'll feel better in the morning about life, love, hope and what tomorrow may bring. So tear up, it's good for you.

Evoland is a game that I think pours with nostalgic feelings for most any veteran RPG player. The evolution from early gaming, to 20 years down the road through unlocks and treasure hunting is a fine touch. You will find yourself loving the early concepts of the gameplay and how they play out. By games end you will have revisited many of your childhood memories through either visuals, gameplay, fights, or just hidden (or not so hidden) nods to Hall of Fame games of past. (Dragon quest, Final Fantasy, Diablo, Zelda etc.)

The game itself is not very long, 8 hours to fully beat with all collectables is where I clocked in, before letting the Fiance have her shot at it Probably shorter if you feel like not exploring and just getting it over with. There are 30 stars and 23 cards to collect and even a small card game to challenge yourself with, albeit for a very short while.

All in all, I enjoyed just about every moment in game! I wish there was a run button, but thats just me being impatient. I had fun finding all the hidden objects and easter eggs in game, and when it was over, I had a smile on my face. Sometimes we just need a short, sweet game to conquer. This one delivers on that in spades with that sweet ole' nostalga thrown right in the mix.

Metroidvania style Action RPG game with a Roguelike (death is permanent) element added to it. Once you die, you get to pick one of your 3 randomly assigned childeren to carry on your Legacy. That's not all though, each child will have a certain set of traits, or lack there of, that they come with. Such as, Stereoblind(doesn't see in 3d), Far-sighted(everything up close is blurry), Dwarfism(TINY), etc. Thus in doing so, the randomness of each kid isn't just based on their class, but small elements that will affect your game play, and style. On top of death being a part of the game, the Castle you are trying to conquer will change each death, later this can be stopped for a price, and again in doing so, keeps you on your toes and always learning. The game play is intense, and you are bound to get upset once or twice due to sheer bad luck or inability to get your crap together (me) for that playthrough. The game has a ton to offer in the sense of leveling up, each death you keep your gold, you come back with it, spend it on upgrades, which unlock more upgrades, and in doing so, you improve your chances of moving further along in the Castle to defeat all the bosses. The game can be simple at times, and hair pulling at others, and once you think you have it all down pat, you'll unlock some remixed bosses that will surely have you cussing at how the level of hard they are shoving in your face.

All in All this was by far my favorite game purchase this christmas(2013), and I spent many a nights trying to bring this puppy to its knees. Fun graphics, great humor at times, lots of deaths, and tons and tons of fun to finish. If you enjoy somethign that'll keep you on your toes, and let you feel that old school level of fun again, Rogue Legacy is certainly for you.
