Brickadia is a great game. I have around 700 hours in the alpha, as well as already sunk about 50 into the early access release. This game takes ideas and concepts from previous games and heavily expands on them in a modern user friendly way. It has a bit of a learning curve but its very much worth it.

Of course there is still plenty more to expand on and a whole list of intended and upcoming features to look forward to. Seriously, give this game a try

Throwing small animals at enemies, especially your friend's animals is 10/10

There is more than enough content to get your money's worth. If you don't like crafting and all you do is quest/PVE this game isn't for you. The crafting and PVP in this game are a huge part of the time sink. But as someone who loves Runescape and similar grindy games, I also love this.

This is my hot take at around 6-8 hours of gameplay

- The world is beautiful and a complete joy to get lost in and explore. I don't know what people mean by saying its empty, at every turn there is something to do and explore. so far there doesn't seem to be wasted space, and the extra space off to the sides of where you are just seems like a nice add to keep the world looking lush and filled.

- Combat is fluid and feels great. Its a lot slower than most action RPGs that I've played but it feels like combat encounters are more calculated. lots of different weapons and so far most of them feel rather unique or just fun to use. The one downside to the combat is that encounters feel rather easy. If i could go back i would definitely pick the hardest difficulty.

- I like the touch of the narrator translating for all the species. what I wish they did is have the narrator speak over the gibberish of the NPC's you are talking to. Its a little bit of a slog to wait for the animal to stop talking before the narrator talks. you can fast forward to see the subtitles before the animal is done talking, but the narrator still wont talk until the animal is done.

- Weapon crafting is awesome. I love all the different combinations and the fact that items don't break which seems to be becoming more common as these types of games come out.

- Some of the animations are weird. for instance the swimming animation just looks so off to me, and when your Popsi is getting grabbed in one of the cutscenes it doesn't look right. Some of the clothes clip through on the characters. In one of the early story "cinematics" the pants on Mooma are clipping through her shirt, and you would think it being at the beginning of the game it would of been play tested pretty frequently

All in all, I think the game is worth it so far. I'm really enjoying it and as of right now plan to see it through to the end. Couple little issues like i explained above. but nothing game breaking or really immersion ruining. I'll probably update this later to say how i feel once I've had a chance to experience the game more

If tripple A titles are a fish, this game is the bear ripping them out of the water.

**As of the end of February 2021 the issues with Ryzen and AMD processors that caused all the stuttering have been fixed. What i described below is no longer the case and the game is finally enjoyable.

My computer specs are well above the recommended specs and i get a fluid 60FPS on max settings. However, every minute or two the game experiences a hard stutter/freeze where its starts making a static noise. For some reason at these random intervals my CPU jumps from 25-35% utilization up to 100%. This doesn't happen in any other games and I've tried to fix it with the means found online.

Its really unfortunate because as far as the actual game is concerned I think its incredibly fun. all the different disciplines and handling styles really mix it up. The game looks absolutely phenomenal too.

I don't know if its a compatibility issue with my hardware or what, but, if they do manage to fix the issue i'm experiencing, then the game will be well worth the price.
