GRATE GAME

Outlast Trials atmosphere feels and looks amazing and with great sound design as well. You can tell right away that Red Barrel put their heart into making the game polished. I also really love the story that they're trying to go for. The game can be really fun with friends but that can be said about literally any game ever. Cross-play is also a major plus. We love our console homies.

Too bad Trials just doesn't feel like an outlast game what so ever. The game just isn't scary in the slightest even though it tries to be really bad. It's way too hectic. You never get to really capture or take in any of the environment. The HUD is cluttered with nonsense, the maps are too maze like and are super close quarters with too many ways to escape and hide from the enemies. This right here hits the hardest in my opinion because the chases from previous games are one of the biggest reasons why I personally LOVED them. The chases in this game however are boring and being attacked by the enemies have zero repercussions. The AI is incredibly dumb. They don't react to any in game VOIP and are easy to lose or out maneuver. Running from NEXT bots in Gmod is scarier than this ♥♥♥♥.

"Red Barrels invites you to experience mind-numbing terror" sounds about right. The game-play becomes VERY rinse and repeat and the trials don't offer anything new except for the classic Outlast narrative of deranged individuals. After playing this game for 5 hours, I feel like I've already been through all of the content.

Most of the abilities and the perk system is kinda unnecessary and just makes the game feel like a bad Dead By Daylight clone. I know they were only added to give the players a false sense of a progression to try and entice us to keep playing this very cookie-cutter excuse of an outlast game.

I personally would have loved a more story driven co-op Outlast experience instead of what ever you'd call this game. It seems like Red Barrel bit the bullet and went for the safe route of a micro transaction riddled matchmaking game like most studios do because unfortunately we the consumers will eat that ♥♥♥♥ up. But overall this game does not stick to its original roots which is really unfortunate since that's what made the first two games so great.

Kinda boring and the lunch lady isnt even that hot.

Just a great, intuitive and remarkable video game. This master piece brings nothing but generations of playtime that never gets old. This game features many re-playable game modes that each offer its own separate experience. Every balloon in this game is unique and every tower has its own story and lore behind it. To have this game downloaded, or even in your library is like having a signed copy of the bible signed by Jesus H Christ himself.

This game has brought nothing but pain and agony into my life.
