The true sequel we've all been waiting for. Its true to the soul of the first game, and absolutely earns the place of being spiritual successor. Definitely what DL2 SHOULD have been.

Apart from that the game is visually stunning especially when the sun begins to set. The parkour is super fluid. Combat hits hard with gore and viscera flying with every impact (although the zombies grabbing constantly can be annoying). The new BEAST mode definitely adds some spice into the mix letting you turn into an absolute murder machine (but not invincible).

Night time is still as terrifying as ever with Volatiles on the hunt, and the dark still carries the same heart pounding fear that the first game had.

What makes the game stand out is the fact they stripped away the excess fat from the 2nd game and recaptured the heart and soul of DL1. HORROR, DL2 chased RPG systems, The Beast brings you back to the survival roots of the franchise. If anything this should be Dying Light 1.5.

Anyway to finish up, The Beast isn't flawless. But overall this is a faithful continuation of the original. If you feel like the 2nd game let you down, this game will bring you back.

Final Verdict; 8.5/10

Still a disappointment in 2025.

It's still a letdown. Despite updates and half hearted attempts to revive the game, its still just a shadow of what Battlefield should be. the warfare feels hollow, and many of the features feel half arsed especially the operators (god why). It's clear this never recovered after the terrible launch and never will.

As a long time battlefield fan, this still stings. Hoping BF6 isn't a total sh*t show :)

The disappointment i have in this title is like when you are at your grandmas house and open the metal tin of cookies. But instead of cookies it's her sewing supplies.

Early Access Review
Rating: ★★☆☆☆

Valheim is an overhyped survival game, that despite its popularity and amazing reviews. Is a perfect example of wasted potential, from the monotonous gameplay to extremely boring and unrewarding progression system.

One of the most glaring issues is the repetitive and mind numbing gameplay. You will be spending HOURS doing mundane tasks such as chopping wood, mining rocks and building, only to find that there is very little pay off for all that work. Trying to pass this grind off as just the type of game it is. It quickly became apparent that this is to artificially extend the playtime because there is nothing to do other than the lackluster boss fights.

It is frustrating that even after owning Valheim since day one, that the developers have not addressed the problems this game suffers from even after multiple updates.

The graphics and sounds are quite well made and the art style is charming, however the environments are uninspired and lack any real variety.

The most disappointing aspect of Valheim is the lack of any meaningful content to do, despite having such a large map, the game fails to deliver any substantial narrative or quests to do. The bosses lack depth and are tedious rather than fun to fight.

In conclusion, Valheim is a tedious, frustrating and unrewarding game that falls short. Repetitive gameplay and shallow content make it an underwhelming experience. Save yourself the time and money and look elsewhere for a more enjoyable game experience.

CDPR managed to turn this around and make it a fairly solid game, currently trying to 100% it on PS5. However my parents are still disappointed in me
