Nioh 3 is an excellent addition to the trilogy.

The open world feels fresh, with solid enemy variety, and it does not feel empty like many other games that switch to this format.

If you played the previous games, you will fit right in and benefit from your prior knowledge of past enemies and weapon experience.

Cons:
$70 price point with no crossplay for PlayStation players.

Performance is not great.
The game crashes when enabling Frame Generation on an RTX 4090.

The game goes into slow motion if I bump the refresh rate to 120Hz without consistently holding 120 FPS.

The game crashes every single time I exit. These are issues that should have been fixed already.

Overall, this is a fantastic entry in the series. They just need to tighten up the performance issues.

Code Vein 2 is fun but it feels like a step back from Code Vein 1.
No Online Co-op but they have the audacity to charge me $70?

The game runs poorly, I cannot get above 60 frames with my setup. I'm sure going Open World is the problem for the huge performance drops.

The gameplay is still fun, boss fights are still great and challenging. The game sets you up to be really strong even early on but its also forgiving. You can be revived by partners* and the partners also help out in combat.

I like the idea of choosing how tough you want the game to be by either choosing to have a partner or not.

I don't think this game is worth the $70, wait for a good sale.
There is a good game here just not for this price especially with the performance issues

For $70, it’s hard to justify. The game is fun, but the open world feels very bare and the enemy variety is weak. The Arsenal boss fights stand out as the highlight, each offering a unique gimmick that makes them genuinely enjoyable.

Compared to the first game, this one is a major departure, yet it still carries a sense of familiarity. Unfortunately, the voice acting and story are lackluster. At a $70 price point, a game really needs to deliver at an A+ level across most categories.

At full price, I’d say no, but if it ever drops to around $40, it’s a solid buy.

I love the game, I'm having constant crashes, audio stutters, freezes. The game is so unplayable right now.

A Great Game Held Back by Poor Optimization

The game itself is excellent, but its performance leaves much to be desired.

On a 5800X3D and RTX 4090, there is no justifiable reason for CPU limitations or for the game to rely so heavily on Frame Generation. The optimization is subpar, and the developers need to address these issues.

Since it's Monster Hunter, many players may overlook these problems due to the overall quality of the game. However, such poor PC optimization should not become the norm. Developers must do better to ensure a smoother experience for high-end hardware.

I like Tekken but...

This game came out in January for $70
didn't tell anybody about the ingame shop or the battlepass (paid and free)

Full priced game with mobile game transactions in it.
I'm still going to play but this is coming from a real fan just be cautious.

All I needed was to see how this game ran on PC to give it a review, Im rocking a 4790k and a GTX 980 and this game is running very fluent!

Monster Hunter is a beautiful vast open world game with tons of content that can keep you grinding and playing for hours on end. Im happy to say that the PC version of this is phenomenal and runs great dont be afraid to double down like me.

This game is very demanding but its well optimized aswell it runs above 60 at almost all times and hardly goes down.

If you haven't already jumped on this you should its very good and very fun especially with friends, I will say that one thing I didn't like about the PC version of this is how they handled Groups/Squads, on console you make a Squad and it creates a session for you and your friends, on the PC version you don't get that option you just get the option for a "friends session" I was real dissappointed with that.

Overall, Monster Hunter has tons of content and this is the BEST VERSION of this game right now if you have a capable PC get this today you will not regret it and dont be afraid to add me if you want to hunt!
