Man I Just Wanna Go Home is one of those games that is just a treat, and treasure. Its world drowns in atmosphere, and beautifully heavy contrasting art sets the themes for a noir treat. Small, cheap, easily digestible, very cleanly written, and a pleasure to play through. I particularly appreciate games that have a larger narrative, and trusts in its audience to understand what exactly is going on. Big kudos to KZPS games, this is one of the good ones.

I am forced to give a review, its good.

After finishing the main mode of Endoparasitic on hard, I had realized a very important thing: I had felt annoyed, fearful, angry, frustrated, satisfied, and exhausted. I am no new fan of horror, in any media, but what had become almost routine at this point to have spooky monsters jump at me, and managing a inventory, and listening to the same science gone wrong story what must have been a hundred times, and yet in 4 hours, it all melted away.

I appreciate this game, I appreciate everything about it, the manic moments of struggling with controls, the almost puzzle like levels, the audio that is the exact correct level of info, and tension building, and the openness on how you can handle the situations. To avoid spoilers, the purple weapon, and my ability to fearlessly take out enemies from across the map due to sound, and lining up your limb just right was the moment in which I realized just how spacial and open the game is.

While as of writing, I have not tried the roguelike aspects, my own library flooded with other roguelikes collecting dust, but if I get the itch to do some one armed gun slinging, I'll definitely be waiting.

Its 10$, and its worth the experience, you've spent more on worse games.

So as a note, during this review, I have just beaten the 18th floor, being the final boss of the current game.

This game is an easy recommend for me, as a Early access supporter since Nuclear throne, and Terraria, I know how wonderfully these kind of games can grow, and how bad they can fail, so the question becomes "is this worth the price currently" and I'd say yeah, with how fiddly the stats, and things you can do before the run, the sense of progression, the current slew of weapons, and mutations, I have no problem giving this weird world full of trollz a wonderful reco.

While I have issues with how strong the mutations are, and how the later mutations just keep getting better, while the symbiotes get unwieldy, or weaker, and the general ease that a build can break by just maxing out focus, the game is just fun to pump an hour into, while relaxing. When I'm done typing this, I'm going for a run right now.

Fast pace, fun action, a little rough to get into, looking forward to more of it. Solid time sink, as all things better with friends.

In all honesty a fun, happy, warming game that is really messed up. Give it a shot, the puzzles are simple enough and nothing beats the good feeling I got whenever I got to hug someone.
