An update right at Christmas? After 12 years!? It's now really playable and fun to dive into.

Having played every Mechwarrior game before: This is a solid addition to the lineup. Very fast battles, good 'Mech handling and great effects.
The story is interesting, and brings back memories from when I read the books. The characters are a little bit 'wooden' and the pacing of the dialogue is a little bit off putting.
The UI in between missions is.. interesting. Sometimes very good, sometimes you need a lot of clicking to get around. Additional information would be nice sometimes, like what's the specialities of that specific pilot so I don't have to remember which Mech to assign.
I don't have any major performance issues (RTX3080ti, 7800X3D, 32GB RAM), playing with the recommended settings. Sometimes the mech bay UI dips into 25 FPS for some reason.

I am absolutely addicted. Please send help.

Most immersive game I've played in a long time. The world, the characters, the missions, all absolutely captivating.
Some playstyles are harder then others though, so making your favourite Cyberpunk fantasy happen is maybe harder than you think, but learning the ins and outs of the combat system is equaly exciting.
