Only played the first 30 minutes so far, but from what I've seen the game seems enjoyable and shows a lot of promise. A nice mashup a genres and asymmetric character types. Dry sense of humor works well, as well as the little references to indie gaming culture. Doesn't seem like you need to be familiar with the other Ben and Dan games to get the jokes. Will probably continue playing.

Forager combines some of the dungeoning of Legend of Zelda with resource gathering, crafting, and automation. The result is a very zen grind kindy of game. The game is not especially challenging, but new updates are coming that will are harder modes and features to the game. Pretty interesting stuff, definitely worth your time.

Project Winter is a social betrayal game like Trouble in Terrorist Town but combined with survival game elements. It is played 100% in online, but you can get a group of friends together on steam and have a great time betraying and killing each other.

First. Elephant in the room. Yes the game is not finished. There is a big gaping hole right at the end of a very cool narrative, exploration game. I could go into all day the hypotheses of why that happens. We can talk all day about the ethics of releasing an unfinished game. The reality is though that they had to do what they had to do. I dont think any dev sets out to release an unfinished game out of greed or something. I haven't looked up yet what the real reasons are for the choice here, but I think its simply necessity related to budget issues.

So there it is. The game will leave you feeling a little let down, a little unrequited after about 3 and a half hours. They are working on a free DLC update that will complete the game. Whatever. Fine.

Let's talk about the game. It is good. You get so mad at the end of your 3 hour tour because the game has you invested narratively. The writing is solid, the voice acting is great. The mechanics have a couple quirks here and there but it's all around a recommendable game. Just beware the ending. Thumbs up from me.

Love the gameplay. Reminds me greatly of Monster Slayers which was also fantastic. The cards and relics in this game allow for countless possibilities and strategies. You'll never play the same round twice, a perfect thing for a roguelike.

Hybrid of strategy boardgame-style play and brawler beat'em up. Controls allow for a lot of cool combos. Combat is challenging but never feels unfair, you always know when you're getting your butt kicked that you deserve it.

Very fun game, features a variety of playstyles for a lot of replay value. Was a little short in early access (first 3 levels, 9 total floors when I last played) but still had plenty of goodness there. Very fun in multiplayer too.

This is a fantastic game that draws inspiration from classic SNES and NES platformers and improves upon them in a lot of ways. And it's so beautiful!

I originally was kind of turned off by the game's art style, and humor, seemed a little cheesy or something. But getting passed that I'm glad I gave it a fair chance. The game is a lot of fun, with lots of different items to find and use together. Co-op online works very well. Great game to pick up and pour a few minutes into or an hour or so if you have it. Fans of Binding of Isaac and Rogue Legacy might find the game quite enjoyable.

I've been playing through this game with a friend for every version since Sean released it for Kickstarter backers at the very beginning, and I have to say though it looks very similar to Magicite, it really continues to build off that excellent game. Sean has been super great as far as regular updates to the game and responding to feedback from the community. So buying it in early access, here's what I like about the game so far.

What I love:
►Challenging gameplay. You need to play smart and careful if you want to survive.
►Cafting system. No recipes to memorize, rewards experimentation rather than memorization.
►Better multiplayer. Magicite was a lot of fun in multiplayer, but had many bugs with syncing, enemies disappearing, warp glitches. Things have been much more stable in Roguelands.
►Roguelike but also persistent. The way the game works is that each character you create only has one life, however you can bank items on your ship to be used in future playthroughs. The plan is also that you'll unlock new classes, races, and abilities as you play as well (not implemented as of v 0.4.6 though so can't really say much on that).

That's all for now, can't wait to see where development goes for this, but I have been very impressed with the quality and responsiveness in each update so far.
