It’s funny how a game world so full of chaos and noise can feel so quiet now. I log into Los Santos, same as always. The sun is still a hazy orange over the Vinewood sign, the traffic still a relentless, honking river. I take my usual car from the garage and just drive, with no real destination in mind.

I find myself passing the airport, where we’d spend hours not even playing the missions, just trying to land planes on top of each other, our laughter a private channel over the Steam chat. I drive past the pier where we orchestrated that ridiculous, failed heist on a simple convenience store, dying in a hail of police gunfire because we were too busy joking to aim properly.
