I can't recommend this series of games highly enough. The campaigns are amazing and the multiplayer is a blast with friends as it always has been. As someone who played the console games for years it's worth experiencing this game on increased FOV and 144fps if you can run it.

My favourite fighting game of all time. Balanced roster containing lots of cheap ♥♥♥♥, deep mechanics and things like defence/pressure feel really creative and rewarding.

But most importantly Orie is best girl.

(edit) Not my favourite fighting game anymore but still one of my favourites and would recommend it if not for the netcode being bad.

Great challenging RPG that forces me to not save scum when my favourite characters die and thefore way more fun for me.

The only other Street Fighter game I have played Prior to this was Super IV on 3ds but also at some friends places.

Pros
- Alot of Singleplayer content
- Good sized Roster of 28 characters in the arcade version (as of season 3, 2018)
- Many old and new characters that are really likeable/fun
- If you like watching it then there is a very high chance you will like playing it
- Might be intimidating at first but incredibly satisfying to master
- Slower paced means neutral game is a larger factor than other fighting games (except Tekken)
- DLC characters can be bought with in game currency which isnt hard to get if you just play the story modes and leveling up

Cons
- Netcode is inconsistent but is more than playable for the most part as long as you set connection limits high
- Balance is decent but could be better

Overall 8/10

As of Launch I know many people have issues so keep that in mind if you intend to purchace the game at launch. Despite what people say I have an AMD chip (Ryzen 3 1300x) with a GTX 1060, 6GB and my game runs flawlessly at full screen.

This is a great fighting game for both those who are new to the genre and does a suprisingly damn good job of being easy to learn therefore being fun for casuals and also having enough depth to sustain a competitive scene.

While some people complain about the Roster size of 22 or 25 if you bought the game within the first 2 weeks I found it to be a satisfying amount as it has alot of variety in playstyles and character types, if you like Anime or any of the 4 franchises in this game you will be drawn to at least one character.

Conclusion:
Great fighting game that is easy to learn but has a suprising amount of depth, Issues with the port seem to be fixed by turning off V-sync or downloading the commuinty mod if you dont have a gaming PC
