I felt the world was quite open, you may even be able to call it an 'open world' game.

Amazing game. I didn't know a strategy town-building game could also be an adventure roleplay experience but I had a blast exploring this world while growing my flying empire. The mechanics are well balanced and I'm excited to try out hard and new game plus. (Also ending epic)

Good game, someone should try to speedrun this.
