I feel compelled to give this game a positive review in light of the criticism it's receiving right now. I very much enjoy the game in its current state (post-patch). Even if I had small issues with it (which I don't have many), I still think that the overall experience is excellent.

I don't think this game warrants a negative review, especially because--for a title in early access--it is delivering more than I expect it to.

I have fun playing this game with my friends. We individually come up with ideas for each level--solve it--then reconvene and try to work together with our different solutions to optimize the problem.

It's very enjoyable, would recommend.

Finished the "main" story of the game. Great with friends, great alone, great on the steam deck. Just a really great game with lots of phenomenal gameplay.

This is a stellar Roguelike; one of my new favorites. I'm a big fan of Into the Breach--and this scratches the same strategic itch whilst also not being as mentally demanding. Almost everything feels viable and the characters/mechs all provide unique play-styles.

I bought this game on release and had a lot of fun. One year later, they add online coop unannounced--amazing, just stellar. One year later, they double the size of the game.

I'm floored. There's too much they've done for us for the measly asking price of the game.

I bought this game expecting to get a couple of runs out of it, but I've actually been enjoying it quite a lot. I am just taking my hand at going into the challenges and having a good time. It's a very great game to play for just 10-15 minutes before getting back to whatever you were doing before you clocked in at the number factory.

Edit: The developers have increased the number of levels in the DLC and increased the replay value, so my only problem has been alleviated.

A great expansion with a lot of new functional depth added to an already great game. The largest caveat is the lack of levels—but as a sandbox game, a large part of Besiege is making fun for yourself with the toybox provided to you.

I love Risk of Rain so much, this does not disappoint.

A very enjoyable experience all around. Often you will spend 10-40 seconds in menus (for a lot of the time), but if you're not one to shy away from sometimes just getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ over, then it's a super enjoyable time.
The community is also REALLY good. I really haven't met someone who was—in genuinity—rude or mean.

Absolutely spectacular in all aspects. 100% pick up.
