This is my third game in the Final Fantasy franchise (after FF7 Remake and FF16). The storytelling and character development are what drew me to the franchise, and I have to say, FF7 Rebirth executes both of these qualities very well. You clearly feel a bond with all the major characters throughout the game. However, the open-world aspect is the game's biggest shortcoming: many of the tasks simply involve checking locations and moving on to the next. It's great to see that Square Enix is trying to create a more open-world experience, but I hope they refine it in the final installment of the trilogy.

FF7 Remake is my first game in the FF series. A good game is one that has great character and plot development. This sounds easy, but it's hard to achieve. Some games have too much unnecessary development of a character or the story, demotivating most players. On the other hand, some games simplify the story too much, making the gameplay tedious. I believe FF7 Remake strikes a great balance. It has great visuals, character development, mini-games, and battle systems.

Played "Lucy", "Planetarium", and "Atri" all in a roll, and this is making me reconsider the meaning of being conscious and having emotion. We humans also need to "learn" to have emotion; people don't know the feeling of endless hopelessness or temporary happiness unless they have learnt this from others' experiences or gone through the situations themselves. Maybe in this way, we are the same as those robots who are programmed to learn and imitate emotion, as there are times when I do not even know what I am crying for.
