Early Access Review
I don't review games very often, because it's basically shouting into the void... But this game is truly fantastic. You'll lose hours of your life to this game. I see conveyor belts in my sleep.

It's just so damned cute and adorable; It's like if a 6 year old girl had a fever dream about getting dropped into a platformer. Honestly, the only bad part about the game is how short it is. I powered through it in about 15 hours, and I'm ~90% done. I could easily put another 5 hours in, if I wanted to 100% and Platinum it. If you liked Super Mario 64/Sunshine/Galaxy, or Banjo Kazooie, this is definitely going to be a good game for you. It also lends itself very well to mods, with fan-made levels available on the Workshop.

I went into the game without any real research or expectations - All I knew was that player reviews were overwhelmingly good. I'll keep this review short and sweet, so any readers will be able to experience the same thing I did...

The game is amazing. Hands down. Every few years, something is created that has the potential to refresh the "Are video games art?" debate. This is one of those games... It's one of the most beautiful narratives I've played in a long time. If you've played The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us, you'll know what to expect; The game is story-driven, and your choices will have consequences for the rest of the game... But IMO this one blows the Telltale games out of the water.

I won't say anything about the story, except that I'm glad I went in without any real expectations or spoilers. It left me feeling hollow and emotionally drained, in the most cathartic and satisfying way possible. I wasn't ready for it... But in some ways, that just made things even better. The writing is simply astounding, and everyone will be able to relate to it in certain ways.

The soundtrack is amazing. It is comprised of indie songwriters/bands. It actually ended up introducing me to a few new bands which I now listen to regularly.

I wasn't a fan of the cartoony visuals at first, but it began to grow on me as the game progressed. By the end of the game, I was glad they had decided to go with the hand-painted look, and now I can't imagine it being any other way.

It's not an action-packed shooter, but it is still gripping. It's not a puzzle game, but it still makes you think. And the most important part; It will take you on an emotional trip that you'll be recovering from for the rest of the weekend. If you like story-driven games, there's no question: Just get it.

If you don't have it yet, you're missing out. The replay value is great, and the DLC is amazing.
