Cry of the Caged Bird is a fantastic cosmetic addition that fits Hunt: Showdown’s dark, gritty atmosphere perfectly. The design is striking and full of character, and it blends seamlessly into the world without breaking immersion. I mainly picked it up to support the developers, but I genuinely love how it looks in-game. Always happy to back a team that keeps delivering such a unique and intense multiplayer experience.

The game is punishing! There‘s no better way to describe it.

I’m now about 100 hours into Hunt. I'm addicted!
Most of that time has been spent playing with random squadmates. In Hunt nobody blames you if you still need to learn and die because I die a lot. Sometimes very quickly, sometimes after long, extremely tense encounters. Every mistake matters, and the game rarely forgives you. Despite that, or maybe because of it, every match feels intense and meaningful.

I’m currently MMR 3 and usually get matched with MMR 2-3 players, which feels completely fair.
I honestly don’t understand the negative reviews complaining about the MMR system. From my experience, matchmaking has been accurate, and fights usually feel balanced rather than one-sided.

I also don’t understand reviews claiming it takes 20 minutes to find a match. In my experience, matchmaking has been very fast. I’ve never waited more than 1-2 minutes to get into a game.

One thing I really enjoy is the flexibility in playstyle.
You’re not forced to play aggressively or rely heavily on voice chat. You can play solo, move slowly, use stealth, ambush enemies, or just play quietly with randoms. I often communicate with teammates, but I also like that you can easily stay silent and still win matches. Communication is helpful, but not mandatory.

One of my most rewarding moments was playing solo Bounty Hunt: I tracked the bounty carrier, reached the extraction before him, waited patiently, and one-shot him with the hunting bow without him ever noticing me. Moments like that feel incredibly satisfying and show how strong stealth and positioning can be.

Most of my encounters with random teammates have been positive. I’ve met friendly German and Spanish players, and only once ran into a toxic teammate who flamed me after dying first and expecting a reckless revive. Overall, the community experience has been much better than I expected.

There’s always something to learn: positioning, sound awareness, map knowledge, weapons, and decision-making.

I enjoy the game so much that I also bought three DLC Hunters. I really like the skins, and I want to support the developers for creating such a unique, tense, and rewarding multiplayer experience.

I've already seen people arguing why they're adding cosmetics as DLC content over "fixing their game". You gotta understand that there are different departments/jobs in game studios that handle certain parts of the game. Character artist's, modeler's, and texture artist's jobs are to create this sort of content because that's what they're paid to do and it's in their expertise. Those people aren't going to be told to start fixing bugs (unless it's a problem related to their department/job, ex. broken textures).
Fixing the servers/server stability is not their job. The people with that job are currently at work, they don't stop because cosmetics are being made. Every single department is always at work in a game studio. Just because they release some cosmetic DLC doesn't mean they've halted their progress on fixing the game.
You should be happy that the DLC is all cosmetic.

I’ll keep updating this review as I put more hours into the game. If you’re reading this and want to play together, feel free to add me.

For the price you will get a good game I think. It just wasn’t for me. I also think they should add ultrawide support. Maybe one day when I’m done with arc raiders and escape from duckov I will give this one again a try

The combat’s flashy, the robots explode nicely! It’s fast and pretty - basically Tarkov for people who have a job and a life.

Verdict: Tarkov is pain... Arc Raiders is therapy with guns and disco lighting.

After 100 hours I can say this is the multiplayer GOTY

I escaped from Tarkov in under an hour.
Then I waddled straight into Duckov, and honestly? Never going back.
Base building is nice and the quests are funny.
10/10🦆💥

Spawned in. Found a nice ridge. Held my breath.

One shot - headshot. Another - through a pilot’s windshield mid-flight.

They never saw me. They never will.

Peak sniping experience.
10/10 EPIC

It’s good. I’m playing it on PS5 and PC. I love the cross progression!
