Kenshi Is a true rags -> riches sandbox rpg. You start with the clothes on your back and sand in between your buttcheeks. You are a nobody. The game literally tells you this. You are not a god, you are not the chosen one, and the world definitely does not revolve around you. Though with enough training, patience, and cunning, you can have a profound impact on the world of Kenshi.
There's really something for everyone in this game. If you want to build your own compound for the faction you created, you can do that. If you want put together a squad of ruthless gladiators and roam the map killing every religious zealot you see, you can do that. If you want to be a renowned armor/weapon manufacturer and have your caravan sell your goods across the map, you can do that. If you want have an underground railroad approach and help free every slave in the world, you can do that and so much more! (I'm not joking, there's so many ways to play)
Kenshi is easily my favorite game at this moment in time and provides hours and hours of entertainment in many forms. At the time of writing this review i have about 500 hours in the game and it feels nowhere close to being stale. And with the amazing modding community and steam workshop access, modding your game is as easy as clicking one button and really adds so many new flavors. I really can't express my fondness for this game enough. Kenshi truly is a hidden gem.
