Extremely cute free 2 hour game. It's like opposite super mario sunshine. I would've absolutely payed a few bucks for this, it's great!

Move aside Mario! Move aside Lisa from 'Imagine: Master Chef' for the Nintendo DS! Move aside Sonic!
Orbo has secured his spot on the throne of gaming greats, and don't expect to see him ousted anytime soon.
The gaming mascots of old have dissolved from the modern zeitgeist, and Orbo alone remains.
Why you ask? It's simply a matter of marketability and relatability.

It's a well known fact that children with underdeveloped minds used to be the primary consumer of video games. This led to the popularization of video game mascots characterized by nauseating neon colors and cocky irreverent attitudes.

Whether it is due to efforts to protect children from LGBT propaganda, new opportunities for children to work in mines/quarries, or the devastating consequences of sending minors to the metaverse; the political happenings of the last decade have essentially taken children out of the picture today.

Only one class of people remain to decide if games are good or bad, 30-65 year old white-collar desk workers. Behavioral studies have proven time and time again that these salary men spend (at a minimum) 55% of their day playing games on their Lenovo ThinkPad while their boss isn't looking. And as of 2023, their game of choice is Orbo! Staring an icon who accurately depicts the trials and tribulations of modern office life like none before. The AAA gaming industry has finally woken to the stark lack of representation of the white armless man, and they're receiving dividends in return.

We invite you (given that you fit into the correct demographic) to engulf yourself in the lisztomania of Orbo, a movement that's on course to rank between Protestantism and Catholicism in the census of 2030.

With over 1,200 hours in Binding of Isaac, almost 400 in Spelunky HD, and 100% completion in them both, believe me when I say that I appreciate roguelikes. In particular, I vibe with downward exploration games such as SteamWorld Dig, Noita, and Caveblazers.
This game is a criminally underrated addition to that list. I feel confident that this game will surge in popularity once a few more Spelunky content creators come across it.
It's very clear that a lot of love and care went into designing this game, both aesthetically and functionally.
Please give it a shot before it becomes popular and cringe. :)

I would love to give this game a good review, it used to be one of my favorite games a few years ago when I first got it. But around the time they added achievements the desync became unbearable. It's hardly a multiplayer game if we never see the same thing as the other people in our match. Would love if this game's desync was improved.

It took about an hour of play to realize this would be one of my favorite games of all time. Now I'm almost finished with it after 135 hours and I wasn't wrong. I say this as a devoted Spelunky and Animal Crossing fan, this was without a doubt 2020's game of the year.

Early Access Review
Warning: I got a game key for free for having achievements in binding of isaac

It's a really good game for what it is. Seems like a first time project but a lot of thought has been put into it. Tons of creativity as far as enemies, bosses, and level/hub enviroment go however the faux-story is pretty silly and hard to follow.

The randomly generated level design isnt bad at all and the "binding of isaac"-like upgrades are extremely fun. The variety given by the various stackable upgrades gives it a good amount of replay value and kept me playing until I finally beat the final boss. The controls are pretty good but it could be abit tighter with the movement. One thing that I really like about the game is the ultra accurate hitboxes on enemies and objects. The enemies are alright, but AI is somewhat wonky and the enemy dificulty scales very oddly from level to level. Level one is fun and easy, two is somewhat harder, three tends to be easy, and four is ridiculously difficult. Personally I ended up having to just run pass enemies and get to the final boss both times I fought him. The bosses are unique and interesting, each one has a different playstyle that I found fun yet challenging. One complaint though is that the first boss is signifigantly harder than all the other bosses because it actually requires you to aim very well.

Hopefully in the future I'll come back and write a better review but I really do like it despite it's flaws.
Maybe wait and buy it during a 50% off sale, it's at least worth that much.

I gave this game a bad review bc it was too hard for me. I got it for free on the Epic Games store and put more time into it and now I can admit that it's really good lol

You'll learn to love this game... and then HATE it.
Lovely Planet is the only game I've ever had to give up on because of its intense difficulty.
By the end of world 4 I was ready for the hell to be over but it threw a bonus world at me.
RIP my self-esteem. Not cute at all. Beware this demon game if you're not mlg pro.
