This is the game that turned me into a "gamer". I can't tell how well it holds up by today's standards because I am extremely biased. The random encounters still annoy me as they did back then. But the nostalgia and glorious turn-based combat keep me loving this classic. I admittedly play the original Playstation version usually, but the PC version was put out with a few small translation fixes if I remember correctly. The materia system has to be one of the greatest "magic" systems in any RPG. There are so many little things in this game that make it great. You could play it 100 times without a guide and you still wouldn't have discovered everything.

One of the best DLCs I have ever played, and it genuinely completes Cyberpunk 2077. It actually fits the world. I apparently didn't get the "good" ending(but I don't care, I made the choices that I wanted to so I had fun), so I will come back to it one day when I want to replay the whole game over. But the characters, world and story arc of this DLC feels great inside of the world. Worth every penny. Now that CDPR has gone woke, this may be the last truly great CDPR game, so savor it.

Air Combat was the first game I got way back when I got a Playstation 1, The series peaked on the Playstation 2 with several great titles. Assault Horizon was a big disappointment, but with Ace Combat 7, we are SO BACK!
Honestly, I just bought this on a whim kind of expecting it to be crap, as I had given up on the series over 10 years ago because of Assault Horizon, and how the company treated the PC release. But now I want Ace Combat 8. Get it.

I always hated souls games. But I gave this a shot and learned that the secret is to avoid bosses and grind minions in the beginning. To level defensive stats so you can take a few hits. There is a learning curve and this game does not guide you very well. You will have to rely on reddit and the games wiki. But with a bit of work I am now absolutely hooked. The gameplay is great. Failure can at times be punishing, I recall yesterday when I lost about two hours worth of progress because instead of spending runes on leveling up I just kept questing and died, then I slipped and fell off of a cliff before I could go retrieve the loot off of my corpse. I play in offline mode, so I haven't gotten involved in PVP or Co-Op or anything yet. So consider this a preliminary review.

One of the best VR games I have played. I usually don't even like action games, but the storytelling, immersion and fun gameplay had me hooked from the first Moss. I am so glad that I bought both games and chose to play them in order. The first Moss is a great game but it definitely feels like the introductory version of Moss 2. I highly recommend playing through the first game before playing the second. The two games combined honestly feel like one complete game. Book 2 has more weapons, more powers, more complicated puzzles and bigger boss battles. Honestly 10/10 all around. I want a sequel.

Excellent game, good story, likable characters, fun gameplay, beautiful environments. I can't wait to start on the sequel. Yes the armor upgrade is only cosmetic, but honestly I think it was well worth the three puzzles and battles it took to get the armor. Also, I found the endgame to be easy, and I find it shocking that people actually had trouble with it. However, I will say that the final quest to complete the armor was the hardest battle in the game and actually had the best boss battle in the game.
Tip: You can heal Quill by lifting her up. You can grab and control enemies. In fact in certain battles it is more efficient to use the exploding enemies against each other than it is to try to fight them. It took me a quite a few deaths to figure this out. The game is relatively short, and honestly to me the final level was too easy and underwhelming. Maybe I am just talented at timing and mouse parkour or something.
All in all, worth every penny to high five Quill.

Gameplay is usual CRPG stuff, just in an uninteresting package. This game is a woke mess. The story is absolute garbage, the characters are completely cliche woke nonsense with no substance. Kingmaker was amazing and I expected this game to match it, but for a CRPG story is important. I don't even like the people on my team or feel any investment in the characters in the game. Not even an hour into the game and I already found two "legendary swords" that were supposedly lost to time. It's just my main character and his band of women + a sewer mutant so far.

Absolutely amazing game. The story is great, the writing is great, the graphics are ridiculous, there's a ton of content. Icing on the cake for me is the mod toolkit. With mods the game is even better, and it's always exciting to see what the community is coming up with. The graphics in this game constantly amaze me. I wish Steam allowed me to take screenshots with HDR enabled so I can share them here. The in-game photo mode is excellent.
I'm 150 hours in, and will definitely more than double that. CD Project Red has really done a great job improving the game since launch. If you like anything Cyberpunk or Shadowrun style, definitely get the game.

I like the game. The story is good in a "Japanese" sort of way. Very weird, but interesting. Graphics are excellent. DLSS 2.0 on this game is amazing, both looks and frame-rate.
For me, this is a game that I can't play for 10 hours straight, but I keep wanting to come back to it. Simply put the game is fun and the game is also boring. More importantly, it's a unique experience. A refreshing change of pace. It actually feels like something "new", since there aren't any similar games out there.
The game actually evokes emotion. In an ocean of twitch shooters, Death Stranding stands out as a one-of-a-kind experience. If you need a fast paced game to stay engaged, this isn't for you. If you have the patience to play a game slowly and methodically, you'll enjoy this game.

I was excited about getting to use both Ray Tracing and DLSS 2.0 features. Fully maxed out, with DLSS on Quality setting, and RT on I was getting an average of about 100fps at 3440x1440 in both benchmarks(2080 Ti, i9-9900KF, 32gb). The game ran smoothly and the RT looked "good", but the textures and character models felt very dated. I also expected this game to be much more story-driven. I suppose it's true to the franchise in some sense. Very fast paced, basically two women running around mowing down presumably highly trained Nazi soldiers with little effort, then having brief chat about it like they're playing a game themselves. Sort of like "Oh this is so much fun, this is going to look so cool on my instagram!" kind of chat.
In all fairness, I bought the game without seeing any reviews, I was just looking for a good co-op game to play with my lady. Saw the fancy new RTX features and assumed that it "must be good". Rong.
