You eat raw meat because you do not understand vectors.
I eat raw meat because I do.
We are not the same.

It is good, and I recommend it, but I think there are a lot of points where the creator of the game could expand the gameplay or development of the story.

The game starts out very incoherent, becomes coherent. The biggest flaw in the mechanic seems to be the magnitude of the "pop" some food items receive when trying to execute a turn. Sometimes what feels like a small flick sends everything flying. Or I'm just bad. However, it was fun.

This game takes a second to get used to, but once you accept that most locations are not unique and that shrinking/growing is like going through a hallway (in an abstract way), it gets pretty cool.
Combat is weird to get used to.

Early Access Review
I like this game.

What sets it apart from other factory games? In games like Factorio or Dyson Sphere Program, you are challenged by depleting resources and waves of enemies while you sink your resources into research. Satisfactory is more of a fun relaxing builder with a limited resource throughput per limit (at time of writing).

shapez2 is unique from other factory games in that is more like a series of puzzles you are solving. The shapes you make are carefully crafted items that need to be manipulated the right way rather than just something that is combined with other lower-tier items to make the next higher-tier item. Each unit of your factory is crafted for free and can be rejigged, copied, pasted, multiplied, etc. with no cost. How good you are at managing the spaghetti is the only thing limiting your success in this game.

The endgame is also interesting; you are on a global leaderboard to upgrade your operator score by putting in a greater number of certain shapes. Your endgame shape manufacturing rate and how long you let your computer run will define how high you get on this leaderboard.

Good balance between luck-based and skill-based success/failure.

The puzzles are not difficult. However, the puzzles do feel fresh and the game is artistically excellent.
