CRAZY realism especially for a game from 2010. Modern day games dont even have realism like this. Great game and greatly built. Left me speechless.

you cant find a single damn game to even play

walk around for 30 min just to get one shot in 10 seconds by a level 99 with every gun unlocked and then lose your character, guns, and everything else

All chat is just salty wow players trying to convert you guys 24/7 back to their dead game, they are in a state of emergency. No hate on wow, gl with microsoft, was a good game and hope it gets better, but shame on the goofy & sad wow (and other old ass mmorpgs) playerbase whos made it their (LITERALLY) life purpose to spam dumbass ♥♥♥♥ in chat to try and rope in people 24/7 (and i say all of this as a wow original player wayyy back). And the "p2w" aspects of the game is not as bad as people try to convey it. And keep in mind, lost ark is FREE w/ no sub to play or NOTHING. Also, every new content they release is FREE, they have to make money with something (ESPECIALLY with a corp as big as smilegate and how massive their team is). And all I'm going to say, and I say this not to hate on the games or try and drive you away from it, is that if BDO and a bunch of other games like warframe (which has a WAY worse market system and stuff you can buy) can literally TOP THE STEAM CHARTS FOR SO LONG AND STILL GOING, then Lost Ark is the pinnacle of the steam platform. Just try the game for yourself and try to be non-biased if you are one of those people and judge it for yourself. This has been one of the most enjoyable mmorpg games ive ever played and there is still SO MUCH unreleased content that hasnt hit na/eu servers yet.

For na west servers, i have literally have a set schedule when the wow (and other old ass mmorpg some people come from GW2) cultists come out:

7:30 AM - log onto lost ark and the best workers will start their shift 30 mins early
7:45 AM - prep time to type an essay to character limit & copy it to clipboard
8:00 AM - start up the spam bois ctrl + v
11:00 AM - takes a working lunch break
1:00 PM - gets off lunch break and then back to full on spam
4:00 PM - prepare to get off shift and let the night crew (the people coming home back from an actual paying job) to prepare their essays
5:00 PM - day time people get off work and night time takes over (they repeat the same cycle)
8:00 PM - night time people start their working lunch break
9:00 PM -night time people get off their break
10:00 PM -night time people starts getting off work but some stay for overtime\
12:00 AM - all the overnight people finally gets off and you have calmness until the next cycle at around 7 AM

I am LITERALLY NOT EVEN EXAGGERATING, you can see the same people at the same time doing this ♥♥♥♥ everyday, and if you truly & genuinely hated this game for what it is, you wouldn't be playing this game, or even have it INSTALLED, AND LET ALONE spend (LITERALLY, I ♥♥♥♥ YOU NOT) hours in area chat saying the same ♥♥♥♥. Some of the things they say makes literally no sense or flat out isn't true which you can easily find out if you actually PLAYED the game before and not just there because you made a character to raid the game; and raid the game purely for the reason that they are mad lost ark is taking their mmorpg playerbases. It's so obvious too cuz, i mean like when is the last time you have taken the time to go out of your way to literally play a game you genuinely hate for hours and hours on end on a daily/frequent basis? The objective of these guys are so clear. As a og wow player i am so embarrassed to have been (now once) part of the wow community. We are literally acting like apes. And I want to set something clear, I do not hate the other mmorpgs/wow, I have played and loved them before, but I ABSOLUTELY AM MALDING about the fact that the playerbases are acting like literal apes trying to not give lost ark a chance because they refuse to see the facts and reasons that contradict all the things they are saying, and on top of that the thing that gets me the most is they literally spend their life purpose on trying to deteriorate players from the game because everyone is flocking to lost ark instead of coming back to their dead game and reviving it.

Rise is such a disappointment. I was wishing and praying that the next MH game was going to be better than MHW or at least the same graphically. But instead, this game went back a decade because devs decided to backtrack to make the game mainly for the nintendo switch and watered down the amazing progress that we have seen MH series make with the release of worlds. I think graphics are rightfully a HUGE necessity in the development of video games in general but ESPECIALLY in a game like Monster Hunter. It makes you feel like you're taking on the world defeating a very cool, powerful looking boss that at least looks like it could be ruler of the world. Especially with stuff like safi jiva's nuke star scene (which I think is one of the most beautiful mechanics/scenes in MH history especially the first time you experience it). Rise really dumbs down on the graphics not by a little, but A LOT. I thought I was playing MH4U with a small graphical update. Now, there are things that are good about this game though. Like the mounts and how you can freely move around with them now; along with their combat, the new wirebugs, and much much more things that JUST MAKE SENSE that I love. But again, none of this makes up for the graphics and how many of us were really excited to see monster hunter modernize and potentially do even more crazy stuff in the future especially with such a big stage. Also if you play mouse and keyboard, the controls are so much more different than Worlds if you played it and honestly the controls dont even make sense. For example, who df made O K L and ; to move the camera by default (you can use the mouse obviously since the beginning but why did you even add this mechanic). This is a good game for the switch but def not a replacement as a successor to the MH series on PC/Console.
