We all drill in a creepy submarine! 🎶

The Oily Dephts is the crossover between Iron Lung and Threshold I did not know I needed.
A short but intense atmospheric horror game, with a simple but neat gameplay (well-oiled machinery, dare I say lol).
Honestly, I'm very surprised that Critical Reflex hasn't added this game to their catalog. It would fit right in alongside gems like Threshold, Mouthwashing, Arctic Eggs, or No, I'm Not a Human.
Dive in folks, you won't be disappointed!

It's very short, but the story is... intense! And if you really want to enjoy all the anomalies and prolong the adventure while trying not to wet your chair, you'll need a few hours with infinite mode.

As a huge fan of Firewatch and The Long Dark, I was eagerly awaiting this game, and I can already tell you that I'm really enjoying the journey so far.
The landscapes are beautiful, the characters are endearing, and the voice acting is excellent (special mention to the drone). The atmosphere is wonderfully mysterious, and the environments, although gigantic, never leave us feeling lost.
Everything in this game is well done. Whereas Firewatch blocked us at every obstacle, our character here can step over them and even climb walls (if they have handholds). The choices we make have an impact (at least they seem to have an impact, as we are told at the beginning).
And while The Long Dark forced us to constantly stuff ourselves with food so we wouldn't starve (to such an extent that it was laughable), food and warmth become mechanics that support the adventure instead of breaking it.
I've only just scratched the surface of this game, but I can guarantee that I'm going to have a great time playing it, and that I'm going to savor every moment.

As a big fan of Crazy Cars and Lotus the Ultimate Challenge, I can already say that this game revisits these classics in a very entertaining way.

This game is like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, except instead of being a metaphor for the hell that is high school, it actually shows it.

I'd love to say I had a great time playing it, but I don't remember a thing...

There may be a few passages that are a little laborious, but the concept is really gripping and the plot is really good.

This game was totally underrated when it was released. A very good immersive sim with unique art direction and a concept still refreshing in 2025.
