Came back after many years off -- having fun

CrossCode is incredible and so far it feels like these devs have another absolute banger on their hands. Cannot wait for this full release!

Has some very frustrating parts (mostly platforming/puzzle stuff that the controls don't feel tight enough to do effectively), and the story could be delivered better...but the concepts are cool, the art direction is insanely good, and the combat is incredibly satisfying. I was a little turned off by how linear the intro was, but it really opens up and turns into a whole new game after the first section.

Also the one dude is so hot.

Masterfully balances being open-ended but also guiding you just enough to not be frustrating. I have never felt more like a real detective!

I was not expecting how bizarre this game would be (complimentary). Some rough edges but injects some fresh air into the open world formula and have already done so much for $0.

This game made me scream (positive).

The writing is incredible and the gameplay is weirdly thrilling for what is essentially moving dice around. The contracts (AKA missions) do such a good job of making you feel the stress the characters would be feeling, and I am impressed with the balance of how you keep thinking you will fail and you JUST make it through. I did not play the first and do not feel lost -- definitely try this out!

It is fun

Can beat in one seating and it is beyond worth it -- treat yourself to this cerebral gem.

Warning -- you will never stop. Also, the music is stunning.
