So I had heard good reviews about this game and having finally gotten around to watching the Guardians films and having such a great time with them, I was excited but also a little bit wary. After finishing the game I find out I had nothing to be worried about! The game is incredible to look at, the gameplay while becoming quite repetitive is still something I find enjoyable! The characters feel very true to their film counterparts, oh and not to mention the soundtrack is FANTASTIC! It really captures the essence of the films so incredibly well and really rounds out the experience. If you cannot tell, I enjoyed this game a lot, and highly recommend it!

Early Access Review
So I don't have many hours in this game but I can highly recommend it, especially if you are sick and tired of DBD and are looking for an alternative. Is it perfect? no, but it is better than it has any right to be. Not to mention that the devs care and are very quick to fix any issues that are found. I've had a lot of fun so far and I think there is a lot of potential here. There is already a decent foundation that can be built upon and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what the future holds.

I have to say the story for this game was strong and I was always interested to see what was going to happen next. I very much enjoyed my playthrough, that being said the ending wasn't what I was hoping for. I have to say though that the characters are written very well and I was quite invested in them. [seeing the rise of John Doe into him being someone you feel you can trust, to then see his descent into madness into the Joker, it was pretty captivating.] As I said, I enjoyed this game, I was just left wanting with how the game ended but it might work for some people, so if you're somehow as late to the party as I am, give it a shot!

This has to be my favourite Telltale game I've played. The story is brilliant and and kept my engaged and interested in finding out what was going to happen next. I loved this game and would have loved to see a sequel, unfortunately it isn't to be. The only issue I had personally was that the final couple of scenes from the last episode were missing dialogue. The mouths were moving but no audio. That was the only issue that affected my experience, but all in all, this is a brilliant story with fantastic characters! I would definitely recommend it!

I put off playing this game for so long because I just didn't think that I would enjoy it as it didn't look like the sort of story I would enjoy, but wow was I wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I am gutted that season 2 will never be released but it doesn't take away from how great this game was.

I enjoyed this season, but it wasn't as good as the first 2 seasons for me personally. I think that the story was well done again, but with a little spoiler, I feel it strayed a little too far from the central character that the series has been based around, Clementine. I still recommend that you play it, as I still enjoyed it.

Absolutely brilliant once again. Really enjoyed S1, and this season was a brilliant follow up. I've watched many play it but there is nothing like playing it yourself. Highly recommend it.

A fantastic story. Would recommend to anyone. The first Telltale game I played, and I don't regret it. Absolutely brilliant.

Beautiful game. Short but as long as it needed to be. Very enjoyable. Not really challenging, but had me thinking quite a bit. Would recommend to anyone!

So I gave this game a positive review a few years ago even though at the time it was frustrating and sometimes unfun but for the most part was still an enjoyable game. Now in 2021, closing in on the 5 year anniversary and the game is in the worst state it has ever been, with devs that are seemingly unwilling to listen and think they know best, as well as saving all fixes for chapter or mid chapter patches, leaving bugs in the game for weeks at a time. Every game has bugs but this game always has so many. Not to mention the underwhelming content lately, the absolute disaster of a release that was A Binding of Kin, with new perks being broken and the killer being almost unplayable, and they didn't delay it even though they clearly needed more time, they just dropped it for the financial gain.

Update: I still do not recommend this game, despite my hours (I'm stuck here at this point, but it's not too late for you) but with a caveat. while not without its flaws, I do think the game is in a better state than it was, the grind is less albeit still incredibly daunting for new players, and there is still fun to be had. My issues lie with soloq survivor having major potential to be very unenjoyable due to a pretty significant portion of killers camping and tunnelling and there being some but pretty limited things you can do to counteract that. On the killer side of things, I think it's super accessible to pick up and play to a fault, it is not difficult to do well as a killer. That's all I really have to say. Save yourself and go play Civ or something.
