Abzu is a game that masterfully combines phenomenal stylistic visual storytelling with an equally impressive soundtrack. This game is a must-play for anyone looking for a casual, visually stunning, and immersive experience (the bigger screen the better).

From the moment you dive into Abzu’s underwater world, you're transported into a serene environment. The visuals are stunning, combining a stylized art style with strong visual storytelling. The colors are vivid, the animations fluid, and the attention to detail in the marine life is extraordinary (I'm a bit of a fish nerd).

The soundtrack is a perfect complement to the visuals. The soundtrack creates atmosphere and makes the experience even more captivating. The music swells and recedes in harmony with the game's pacing, creating an emotional journey that is both relaxing and profound.

One of the standout aspects of Abzu is its simplicity. The gameplay is straightforward, making it accessible to players of all skill levels. This is a game where you can simply enjoy the experience without the stress of complex mechanics or challenging puzzles.

Despite its relatively short length (it only took me 90 minutes to complete), I found every moment of Abzu to be enjoyable. The brevity of the game does not detract from its impact; rather, it makes it an ideal choice for those seeking a short and memorable experience.

I highly recommend playing with a controller. The controls feel intuitive and smooth.

TLDR: Abzu is a beautifully crafted game. It's perfect for those looking to unwind in an underwater world. Highly recommended for the experience alone.

Edit: MAJOR ORDER COMPLETE: SNOY HAS BEEN LIBERATED

Edit: Changed to negative due to Sony being unnecessary scumbags. Will change my review if they backpedal.

Y'all ever wake up in the mornin', look at the beautiful stars 'n stripes hangin' outside your porch, and think to yerself, "Dang, I sure do love freedom"? Now, I ain't no fancy city slicker with them big words and philosophical musings about the nature of man and war. No sir, I'm just a simple man who loves three things, my freedom, my liberty, and the sweet, sweet sound of alien bugs gettin' blasted into the next dimension for threatenin' those first two.

'Cause at the end of the day, there's no greater honor than standin' tall, shoulder to shoulder with your brothers and sisters in arms, fightin' for freedom, for liberty, and only sometimes shooting them for fun.

Sweet liberty this is fun!

This game exceeds all my expectations. Fantastic couch co-op fun! Steam remote play is not ideal, but it gets the job done. Would love to see online multiplayer implemented to make this the ultimate party game.

Angsty card game, depressing lore, captivating gameplay. Honestly I'm surprised how much I enjoyed myself.

I had not played through the Halo games since I was a kid so there is a sense of nostalgia here, but I will also be very critical of the games I review here.

Halo 1: I do not care for the remastered graphics, the lighting is drastically different making flashlights irrelevant, and the models to not line up with the originals and you end up shooting walls and rocks as you peak over them. That being said, I played most of the game in the original graphics. It is still a very good game that's gameplay has aged well. I believe that the story is fairly basic, but still very good.

Halo 2: This is my favorite Halo game. I did not play with the remastered graphics, though I did accidentally toggle them and I thought they looked fantastic! I will likely do another run through of the campaign with the remastered graphics to fully enjoy them. If you are playing on legendary, it is at times unfair. The sniper jackals are deadly accurate and can 360 noscope you faster than you can kill all of them (there are usually multiple). The story of Halo 2 is fantastic, building on the basic foundation of the first Halo. They do this by introducing the Arbiter, which gives another perspective as well as an introduction to the Great Journey. There are much better antagonists, the prophets, Tartarus, the grave mind. The end of the campaign is a bit abrupt and has a lot to be desired. Look up the development of Halo 2 and you will understand a bit more. What is great is that you can then just jump right into Halo 3 where the story is continued.

Halo 3: 9/10! Minus one for the level Cortana where it slows you down every 10 seconds to have spoopy voice talk to you.

Halo 3: ODST: This one was very different. Very different aesthetic than the other games. It wasn't really my style, but it still had fun gameplay. The campaign was quite a bit shorter than the other games. I did not care for the "night vision" that would point out enemies. I preferred to play without it. I feel like there are a lot of hidden depths that I didn't come stumble on.

Halo 4: I had never played this game before, yet I enjoyed it up until a point. I enjoyed the game while fighting the covenant, but lost interest quickly once you got to the Promethean enemies. I found them to be less than interesting. I also didn't care for the story, especially where (spoiler warning) you kill the final boss in a cut-scene. Really?! For me that is a cardinal sin of gaming.

Halo Reach: I can't fairly review this game as I have not beaten it like the above ones. I did not finish this one, though if I do I will update my review.

TLDR: Halo, Halo 2, and Halo 3 are the best of the series and I highly recommend them. Halo 3: ODST is a different aesthetic that you may enjoy more than I did. Halo 4 is alright, though I did not care for it. I have not beaten Halo Reach and cannot fairly review it.
