Let's start with what 99% of people are complaining about.. the AI!!!!!!:::
Yes, AI was used in this game at some point, yes. What people are failing to realize is the fact that those were in the DEMO. Yes, the dev has mentioned this.. but people ignore the second half of what they mention that.. currently, within the Early Access, those have been replaced by hand-drawn illustrations. Art is far to consistent to be AI, and the style matches too much with the surrounding stuff. It's too consistent. AI doesn't do consistent...
A review I saw as well, where the dev responded, someone latched onto him for using ChatGPT to make his responses easier to understand because he's not a native English speaker. WHO CARES? What does that have to do with the game? People use translators all the time, that's AI, go be ANgerY at that.

The game shows promise, the bug fixes practically daily tells me a lot about how much they want to clean this up and make it really good. I'm having fun with it, even just in the early days, and I expect good things from it. Great job so far.. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

I'm going to actually review this instead of funny haha democracy meme, as there's a lot of people who are upset about this.

The armor is cosmetic and useful, but is not P2W in any way as armor from the base pass can offer literally the same things, so to an extent it more or less is purely cosmetic.
The pass itself isn't that hard to afford just by playing the game. If I recall, it's 1000 SuperCredits to buy and upon day two of playing I've already gotten 600.

Is this pass worth the 20 extra bucks? Probably not, no.. but it's worth it to support the game because the game is absolutely fantastic despite its buggy first day.. and there's gonna be more to do in the future.

Playing this game with friends, and reading some reviews after taking a break

...How the hell are so many people having "optimization" issues and lighting (gameplay wise, not gamma) issues. Game runs wonderfully and the lighter you start with gives a decent amount of light for being a small electric lighter. The flares themselves are pretty decent too. HOWEVER.
The point of this is for me to speak about what I like so far.. and to update it as it goes along, not complain about people having silly issues, though that will be part of it.

- "Impossibly dark"
The lighting is realistic, despite people.. yknow.. talking bad about it. You shouldn't expect to be able to see like you had DnD darkvision inside of a cave that has no outside light coming into it. That's the point of the flares they give you, and the lighter is stronger than an IRL lighter.. so y'all shaddup.

- Combat is pretty neat. It boils down to clicking and dodging attacks, but I like being able to parry some poor ♥♥♥♥ and continue slicing him up. Being blocked came as a surprise to me, but hey.. makes sense. Decent AI when it comes to fighting as well..

- Atmosphere is great. Blood covers you up when you get in scuffs, and can be washed off with either a dip in the water or while it's raining.
Heavy wind makes the treas lean and sway, which is wonderful.. the entire game looks great.
Wind picks up when getting in higher elevation, and cave noises are nice and tense when you can barely see ♥♥♥♥.

- "Nooooo we shouldn't start with a gps it's too easy seeing things marked"
You were riding in on a helicopter.. with other guys.. with an emergency kit that had a waterproof electric lighter, a hatchet, a knife, and a GPS, all of which are good things to shove in there.
CALM. DOWN. PEOPLE.

- Early Access Criers
This is day one. Literally day one, and 10% of the reviews are screaming about it being unfinished. Noshit.
That's how early access works. If y'all think you could do better, go do better. Otherwise, hush. I'm sure 99.99% of you don't even know the full extent of how making a game works..

This game is wonderful and eerie, as it should be. The dancing woman (Who I totally didn't opt to kill on my own free will) really caught me off guard.. especially when she followed us around in silence. The world is beautiful, and the mechanics are great.
And to those of you crying about a hotbar.. you can pull out your backpack. There's your quickswitch. Now be quiet.
