This review is long overdue, as I have completed the game in the first few weeks of its release back in february.

Game has poor performance, even though it is playable, but honestly my biggest problem with this title is that it is just not enough monster HUNTER and is more like monster ARENA FIGHTER. I understand some people would prefer it that way, but the game didn't make up for it by scaling the difficulty appropriately. It was piss easy to complete when it came out and QoL features, which take away from the experience of being a hunter, as well as removal of certain exploration mechanics combined with performance issues not getting fixed 8 MONTHS into the games lifespan just don't cut it for me to justify recommending this game at all to anybody

I cannot in good faith recommend this game YET, for 1 main reason:
Money you pay for the amount of bugs and performance issues still going strong after month and a half and for a story not properly out there yet is not fair for consumers.

That said, the actual gameplay, gunplay, movement, side-quests and loot are fantastic, either on par with the good ones from earlier entries or better, especially vertical movement and builds. All of it feels fun and cool and in my opinions thats where borderlands 4's heart is in, as I had the most MECHANICAL fun out of all 4 games in this one, with only BL3 coming close to it. The biggest mechanical problem is actually mob variety, but I haven't noticed that to be a big issue for ME.

Unfortunately, the MAIN STORY aspect on the other hand is raw and unfinished, basically acting as a setup for DLC's and/or next game in franchise, which at this point is just unfair to the players who paid full price for the game to receive a properly made product.

Same applies to performance - game is not optimised properly YET (I have hope one day it will be) and even though my pc handles it quite well and I personally cannot complain about it performance at all, it felt like with each new patch I have seen more bugs and complains from people than fixes.

Overall, It would be at least a solid game if they fixed all the performance issues for the rest of the player base who still has them and would be a FANTASTIC game if they put more thought towards the actual MAIN STORY and its villains, here to hope they realise that and at least patches and dlc's will try to fix that problem, but so far it is a NOT RECOMMENDED review from me

♥♥♥♥ game, the only reason its worth playing is because OW suck ass and Blizzard as a company became ass that nobody should approve of. Other than that, this game is balanced like ♥♥♥♥, with fun ideas but retardedly put to practice. I wish we could get OW1 back instead of this steaming crap and OW2.

To be honest, this game sucks horses schlong on a sunny day while getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on by 100 of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clowns!
