Runs very poorly on Linux, requires some tinkering to get running, but even then it runs very poorly.

The game itself is actually incredibly fun, and has a good fun-hours-to-price ratio. Everything that MudRunner lacked, this game has. The money/upgrade system is very welcome. The game does, however, need some polishing, and I was actually quite disappointed, coming from MudRunner. Examples:
  • When creating keybindings, you can't delete a set keybinding. The only way to delete a keybinding is to reset everything. Why?!
  • You can't create combined keybindings (Ctrl + A does x, LShift + B does y).
  • There's no manual gearbox as in MudRunner. Everything is an automatic gearbox with high/low ranges. This makes the driving experience quite boring, compared to MudRunner.
  • If you start the game on hardcore mode, there's no tutorial. Hardcore mode basically just makes refuelling and recovering (respawning) your vehicles cost money, so this is what I picked from the get go. You start your career past the tutorial missions, making you miss some important map locations, for example.
And then there's the steering wheel "support", which is absolutely abysmal. Some examples:
  • The default keybidnings for the G27 and Driving Force GT (tried both) don't make any sense, as in: the gear shifter pauses the game and the clutch turns on the headlights (not exactly the defaults, but they were this odd).
  • There are little keybindings pictured around the hud (for example M: Map, E: all wheel drive), which keep flickering between the mouse/keyboard and the gamepad/steering wheel ones.
  • If touching the steering wheel while using your mouse/keyboard, the game becomes confused and ignores both. Examples: panning the map with your mouse, clicking through the menus, engaging all wheel drive / differential lock, turning on and off headlights. Neither work with keyboard/mouse, unless you press the buttons a few times first.
  • Compared to MudRunner, the force feedback is either like you're stirring in a pot of soup or the wheel locks up completely. It's an of/off type behaviour, and doesn't feel realistic (again, compared to MudRunner. How'd they mess it up that bad?).
  • It honestly feels like really bad console port, speaking from a steering wheel user perspective.

Early Access Review
Game is good, but waaaaay too expensive. It gets uninterestning very quickly, but it's very informative.
Development is really, really, really slow which makes the game worth less than the asking price.

I wouldnt say this is worth 37 €. I got this thing on sale for a bit less.
Anyway, the cockpit is very detailed, the fps is high and it's fun to fly. It's very realistic, in my oppinion. The sim itself is very good and of high quality, but the plane can feel like it is a bit limited. The cannon barely has any ammo, the plane has no radar, missiles take a long time before they can be fired, and overall a bit of a limited arsenal. This is, of course realistic, but a thing to know before buying.
Only real flaw is that there is no lock on tone (can be a bit hard to determine whether you have lock or not)

Extremely realistic. It's like good ol' 'Nam. The only thing this addon needs is a Vietnam map. Flying the Huey in the caucasus region isnt that immersive. Also, this addon is a bit ressource heavy and gets you low fps while flying at reasonably low altitudes.
Overall, very good, realistic and fun addon.

Visually, very detailed. The cockpit is lovely to look araund in. The plane is really easy to fly and fight in. You can't click anything with your mouse, so be ready to fiddle with some key bindings on your joystick. The flight model seems very realistic, but it only takes 10 minutes before you can to a cold startup and use the missiles.

Once you get out of the vault, the game is astonishing. The construction and weapon mod system is also really cool
