Very good game and great value if you wait for one of the big Steam sales. I will say though that if you are wondering whether to get this or the sequel and if you need to play this first - just get the sequel; Middle-earth: Shadow of War. It does everything better in my opinion. You're really not missing any important story here. That being said, this is still a good game with a nice mix of both stealth and frantic button-mashing combat.

Graphics and sounds are lovely and the combat animations look great. The cinematic sword-fights and executions are some of my favourite parts of the game.

Problems.
The end game was a little weak. The final boss fights were not as epic as I would have liked, with no option to use all the amazing ultimate abilities I'd unlocked throughout the game.
Some of the stealth missions are unfuriatingly tricky, with failure meaning repeating it from the beginning.
The story was a little weak in the ending, BUT it sets it up for the sequel which has a much better ending so sort of continues there.

Overall I enjoyed it. I'd actually played the sequel first though and can see how the devs improved on everything with that title. IF you only plan to buy one, get Shadow of War. But this is still a good game and better than most new expensive AAA titles. Full review below.
