This game is well-aware it's a low-budget "ashcan" which exists mostly so that Paizo can say there is a CRPG that uses PF2E rules and which people will purchase for 5 bucks, spend about 5 minutes on, and then forget about. It's good for what it is but the game isn't pretending to be anything but what it is, so it "reads" like an old school RPG comic that plays all the cliches straight and continually makes rules jokes. Which is actually charming in its own way. I do wish it was a little less reliant on orcs and kobolds as monsters, as Golarion doesn't really use them as "villains by default" anymore. But that's like my one real complaint.

There were some really good rules jokes, lmao. At one point the characters read from a book and they talk about how PF1E clerics got a new domain spell each level and could heal 150 HP at level 20. The party leader is like "spellcasters were more powerful in the past" while the orc martial is like "Doubt," And at one point the party scout has a heart to heart with the leader about what she's afraid of and she says she's afraid of water. Not because of any backstory reasons or anything, or so she claims, specifically because of how complicated the aquatic combat rules are. (She was trying to get the scout to lighten up.)

If you're looking for a tutorial on PF2E rules now that WOTC is on fire, check this out. If you have played PF2E, the game can be comfortably completed in a single evening, and I mean, it costs $5. You could do worse.
