I have well over a thousand hours of gameplay into this perfect game. On all systems. Played it on a friends PS3, on my Xbox 360 Elite, and on this laptop. I must say, hours well spent. I know this game and everything in it better than the back of my hand.

Why is this game perfect, I say? Well, for starters, it took the base of Fallout 3 (which was fenomenal in itself) and made it even better. It added a million little things that made the game so much better. The factions and fame/infamy system made it a true RPG. Everything you do is connected. Everything builds up to a climatic end, and unfortunately, nothing can continue the main storyline however. After all of the DLC, as 100% completed as you can get, and you beat the storyline, that's it. *coughs* If you don't know about modding...

Yes! This game is moddable. And that's the killing blow to make it perfect for PC gamers. In fact this makes it one of the best games of all time due to the modder community steadily making EVERYTHING in the game better, including graphics! So you want more or better weapons? Companions? Bases/houses? Glitch fixes? Graphics/textures? New stories? YES YES YES YES YES AND YES! Just as you think the game can't get any better, it suddenly gets WAY better.

One thing I could recommend however, is that you play the game through on regular mode (non Hardcore) and on normal difficulty if you're new to the Fallout experience. However, if you like challenges and/or you've played this one before, then you should definitely consider modding and using Hardcore mode. There are even mods to make Hardcore mode even more realistic. This game with all of the DLC is 20 USD currently. I bought it off Amazon for 3 USD around Christmas time. Honestly, 20 is very cheap for what you're getting. Its a very graphical and memory demanding game if you set the graphics on high and you use several large mods.
