As a life-long Monster Jam fan and avid player of Monster Jam video games (and video games in general), I can this without a doubt that this is the best Monster Jam video game in recent years.

There is so much to accomplish with winning every event, achieving all objectives, obtaining every truck/livery, among other things. Even with all the trucks/liveries in the base game alone, there are many more that have been released/are still to come through the game's post-launch updates, which is a huge bonus.

The only issue is that not many people play the online gamemodes, rendering it difficult/impossible to obtain many of the online achievements.

That being said, the game is still worth it for all the events, especially for all the freestyle events. Go buy the game... now!

Still a great game!

Rocket League is an example of a well made game. Want to play basketball of soccer, but using cars? Here you go! This is one of those game like Minecraft that no matter what, I always come back to it just to have a little fun. The maps are really good and have beautiful scenery (though I wish Aquadome didn't lag for me), and trying to get some goals with your teammates is always really fun, especially when it get chaotic with everyone trying to get the ball. You still reading this review? Then go buy it. Now. $20 you will certainly not regret.

November 2017 update: The game is so good, I'll be buying it again for Nintendo Switch. Rocket League is not a waste of money.

November 2018 update: I still play Rocket League a lot nowadays, and yes, I did buy the Nintendo Switch version as well. Loving the different holiday themed events where I can collect a whole bunch of items.

November 2019 update: Game is still excellent.

November 2020 update: Yay, but no longer on the Steam store :(
