I hate it, i love it. Fantastic sequel to original HK that i suck at.

Another beautiful game by Inkle. They continue to experiment with different forms of storytelling and this one is again on target.
This game is how hiking is for me. A combination between introspective, awe inspiring moments when you can take it all in, and more grounded time management, and preparation for safe trip (like where to sleep). Ok maybe i havent done a musical sprint with a deer, but no-one said its a hiking simulator ;).

One of my favorite games of all time. Master-class in storytelling, with considerable replay value. I managed to get attached to characters and quickly stopped playing it as a pure management game, but more like a story about journey of two people. On my first playthrough i managed to finish on last day which made it extra rewarding moment :)
Additionally this game is also available on mobile, and the form actually translates very well.

Its a great marriage of Frostpunk-like cycle based managment, rogue-like mission progression and a setting that's both mechanically and thematicaly consistent. Winning conditions are very robust, and that leaves a lot of potential for future expansions (like the newest fox race, or maybe new biomes ?). Chefs kiss.
edit : this game along with with Hades had the best early access process. It started with working game, and regularly updated with more goodies and extras. It was fun to play at every step.

Vampire Survivors with more to do, but still keeping you focused mainly on movement and upgrades. Really like the minion upgrade/merge system, both mechanically and thematically.

Gameplay is simplistic, but enviromental storytelling is fantastic. Great job by animation team as well. The game has a lot of heart.

Very fun experience. The combat is not particularly hard, and gameplay not very unique, but story and characters is where its at. Banter between guardians is top notch.

There arent many games on the market that provide that instant feeling of acomplishment. Plus its very chill, and a good game when you want to listen to a podcast while you're playing it:)

A diamond in the rough. Its been a while since i've enjoyed an RPG that much. The story is interesting and nuanced, morality is not usual black and white. Its a very interesting commentary on colonialism. Combat is fast paced, and a bit simplistic, but i actually appreciate that i dont have to open up a spreadsheet and just enjoy the game.
There are some minor annoyances and performance hiccups, but it doesnt matter all that much considering how great the game is overall. Especially considering the price! Fantastic debut by the developer.

2020 GOTY. The game is consistently funny, it had guts to shake things up with rpg mechanics and characters are interesting. Its great both by itself and in context of game industry as a whole.
