What a great first experience of this game. Its janky as heck but also so pretty. Really cool to just uncover the game and its story. I never even built a base and it was still cool.

This game improves upon pretty much all systems and jank from the first. There is still some jank, but going back to the first you really tell how janky the first was. AI is much better espescially. The first gives the feeling for the first time and the uncovering of the story which you cannot really do again. So, I kind of wish they just remastered the first and incorprated all these news QoL and systems and map instead. But yea def play this, its pretty and plays well.
It is very similar to Forest 1 with literally not much new, except way bigger map but at least some (janky) ass vehcle options to get around. One thing I aslo don't get is base building. I have never built a base in these games beacuse The island is so big why or how could I ever come back to my base in a day cycle? What a waste of time. I just set up tents every night. Got me through. Enemies around? Spam sleep or kill a few spam sleep. Or do it in a cave free nights. THEN, my BIGGEST GRIPE. PUT TITLES ON THE SCHEMATICS YOU FIND. I assume they are all just traps for killing enemies for my base, but GUESS WHAT, one of the ones you find, that look IDENTICAL to the 10 other traps you found, is actually something you need to build to FINISH THE GAME?! lol so outrageous and poorly thought out. literally would have never have done this since i wasnt building those schematic things since i had no base and never needed one... therefore, i would have mindlessly searched all the bunkers waiting for this "armor upgrader" to finish the game not knowing i had it on me the whole time and ust needed to build it. Thank god I googled and didn't dump 10s of hours searching. They should have added a Research Bunker or Tech Bunker and had the machines there. Very poor finish for me. and for that. was ALMOST a negative review. Buts ist just such a fine pretty experience the whole time I couldn't let myself leave a negative review.

Unique experience. They did so much work I feel it could have been an oustanding experience, it is instead just.. good. The bones are there for great but the upgrades are half the time lackluster, and for some reason never really allow you to get to a perfect car? i.e. you cant use all your abilities, only 4. even your best build is still scarce on energy or gas, of course not like early game but still why not let the end game just be a full nut? Could be balanced a tad better. Also, I was really close to putting a negative review as, no joke, my entire game my car had a bounce glitch where it sinks into the ground slowly then POPS back up out of the ground. Stopping any repair putty or similar things happenign and is just plain annoying. A bug that frankly should be squashed asap... anywho. Still very well made and cool for what it is.

This is very simple, simply well made I suppose. But, I must state this; The entire game can be beaten in one sitting, before the 2 hour refund window. The systems are there to elaborate and complexify progress to overcome this, the bones are there. I believe it is a massive oversight to leave it as is and as such... for that, I will leave a negative review to send the message to the developer and to not upset those who move a touch slower and will feel robbed when they cross 2hours and 1 minute and reach the end and wish they didnt.

Very surprised to see Ubisoft put out some just good ol quality content. A great little metroidvania. Story is there if you like it, skipping most of is there if you don't (good). Good gameplay that isn't perfect, but definnietely good enough and well polished that keeps it fun. Great progression mechanics that just keeps giving and growing, a good job. On top of all this, its not just a quick 15 hour experience. I am sure I will get to 35-40 hours being thorough and 40+ for 100%. There are also trials and challenges that can even extend your stay too, if you like that kinda stuff. Definietly a good buy, on sale, like I got it, gives immense value.

i dont know man. as cute as it is, as niche as it is. it really isnt. its simple, slow, kinda lame. i mean. its cute its ok. sure its cheap. but i think, would I want my friend to play it? not really. so. yea

For real though, def should be game of the year contender, nicely priced too for super premium content.
Not sure I have ever seen such great enemy, sound and map design all together. Runs well, just great.

Great little game, simple. but enough complexity to make it worth. wait for a sale (50% especially) for it to be max worth it but def play it
